OKC is where I was. We sold gas there and surrounding areas. There were quite a few stations selling at .99, the higher price stations were $1.00-$1.10ish. I hadn’t seen it that low in years n years, was crazy.

I often am in OKC a few times a year. I stop and visit most the time if friends are available to do so.
Not one time has gas been under $1.50 with Trump or definitely Biden in the past decade.

I posted a link, it was lower than $1.50 for quite a while, hovered around a $1.00 for some time. Wisconsin was selling gas for .85 cents in some places. OKC at .99. Google it. Like I said the company I worked for sold gas wholesale and maintained stations that’s all we did. So, I’m pretty aware of gas prices.

I know you're not genuinely interested in an answer to that question, but for anyone who is, this would be a good read. It outlines a lot of the Biden administration's hostility towards the oil industry just in their first year in office, including policies that increased the cost to pump and refine oil, which drives up the price.

As soon as Biden was elected, before he was even sworn in, the price of oil started to rise rapidly. Note this trend began and continued after Biden took office and well before Russia invaded Ukraine, which Biden and Democrats often lie about and blame for high oil prices.

Oil is a speculative market. The price isn't set by oil companies. The price of oil taking off as soon as Biden got elected is pretty indicative that investors, both Wall Street types and your average investor, knew Biden would be hostile to the oil companies. This might have something to do with the fact that during the campaign Biden said his intention was to "transition" the US away from fossil fuels. The President doesn't directly set oil prices, but saying things like that drives up the price.

Democrat commentators often point to the fact that production is up as some kind of proof that Biden has been friendly to oil companies. Production is up, but it has nothing to do with Biden.

I could go on, but I'm just not gonna.

This is another one they try to dishonestly deflect with "well the oil companies have x number of outstanding leases that they're not using so they don't need new ones."

Conveniently leaving out the fact that leases are often purchased before they even know for sure that there's sufficient oil in an area to drill, or if it's good quality, or if there are other factors that would make it uneconomical. That's why they have so many unused leases.

Forcing them to drill in such places would, of course drive up the price more--which is the point, after all. They want high oil prices, except around the election.

That's the thing, I really can't see how Biden could possibly win again. In 2020, you had the hardcore Trump supporters and then the feckless Democrats that would vote for a brown paper bag with a face drawn on it if it had a (D) after it's name.

Then you had the small percentage of moderate swing voters who decide the elections. Apparently they broke for Biden because they were tired of all the "chaos" with Trump and were promised things would be back to normal under Biden.

Now those swing voters have 4 years of knowledge that that was a lie. Things didn't go back to normal. Things didn't improve. They got worse. And Biden is everything they said Trump was. He's a demonstrable, on-record racist. He's a childish, disrespectful, emotional hothead. He lies pretty much constantly. He's been getting us into wars. He's divided the country even more. Those swing voters voted for Biden on the promise that he would be the opposite of all of that.

How those people would vote for 4 more years of this is beyond me. I'm sure some of them just won't be able to accept that they got duped and will vote Biden again, but those of them with a brain are either gonna stay home, vote Trump, or vote Kennedy.

I still don't see Trump winning though. It won't be allowed.
