Who says the president can't control gas prices. He has stated many times that he wants to wean the country off fossil fuels.
Shutting the keystone pipeline didn't help to lower prices. Neither did stopping fracking on federal land didn't help. Stopping oil and natural leases in Alaska sure didn't help. Suspension of new leases on federal land and water didn't help.
Oil market is based on the term "futures" in which Biden is mucking up.

Sure, in summer of 2020 after the price of crude oil went negative. Not winter of 2019. Trump didn't lower gas prices, presidents don't have that power, covid-19 lowered gas prices. You want to do that again? Btw it was already on the way back up. When Trump left office, the national average was about $2.35 a gallon. It was ALWAYS going to skyrocket after going negative.
