Iran never agreed to 24/7 monitoring of its nuclear facilities in the JCPOA.
Iran dictated which facilities were "nuclear facilities" and those were the only ones that were subject to monitoring and inspection under the JCPOA. They specifically left out a number of facilities that Western intelligence knew were nuclear facilities but Iran wouldn't agree to monitoring and inspections at those facilities and we signed the deal anyway.
This would be like if you caught your kid using drugs, so you were gonna start searching their room for drugs, but you let your kid tell you "I only hide drugs in these few places and those are the only places you're allowed to look."
And even the facilities the IAEA were allowed to inspect, they had to give Iran advanced notice. Iran could delay the process up to 3 weeks and still technically be in compliance. Monitoring was done with cameras and sensors, but Iran had ultimate control of them and could turn them off and obviously knew where they all were so they could circumvent them.
The JCPOA was a joke. Iran was completely in charge. The Obama negotiating team were desperate to just get A deal before Obama left office, and Iran knew that. That's a horrible position to go into a negotiation, because the other side can rake you over the coals knowing you'll agree to almost anything just so you can claim "success."
We had all the leverage. Sanctions worked for once and brought Iran to the table, and Obama and Kerry gave away the farm.
And why should they?
They have the right to have a deterrent
Nuclear weapons are not for war but for annihilation of the human species and every other living creature (should they be used at a large scale).
Why are Iranians worse than Anglo-Saxons, Russians or Jews?
Or do you think that they are second-class citizens?
