Nothing has changed regardless of the attempts to downplay the matter. The UN says there are more than 35,000 dead people. If you consider the meeting and those under the rumble even more so.
CNN and everyone else will not be able to verify anything until the end of the war. These are estimates but the true number is likely to be higher and not lower.
CNN cannot independently verify the ministry’s numbers. The ministry does not distinguish between casualties among fighters and civilians.

The number was reduced because the UN says it is now relying on the number of deceased women and children whose names and other identifying details have been fully documented, rather than the total number of women and children killed. The ministry says bodies that arrive at hospitals get counted in the overall death count.

"Gas chambers and the hundreds of concentration camps which starved, tortured, and eliminated Jews by disease, is repeated today in the Gaza concentration camp — the largest concentration camp in the world
“Death chambers and ovens have been replaced in Gaza with tons of bombs that destroys all in their path. Gaza has become a death camp,” Weiss said, condemning Zionism as racist colonialism.
“Conflating Zionism and Judaism is an unforgiveable crime to the Jewish people, to the Palestinians and to humanity,”

I"m not 'trying' anything. I'm stating facts.
Hamas lies. Hamas doesn't know how many are dead. Hamas exaggerates civilian deaths for it's own propaganda reasons and useful idiots eat it up and repeat it. Hamas calls terrorist deaths 'palestinian civilian deaths'. Hamas numbers claiming most of the deaths are women and children have been debunked, they are statistically impossible.
And no, the UN doesn't know how many are dead either. NO ONE DOES.
Civilians die in war. Hamas doesn't care how many civilians die, in fact, they like it when civilians die. They purposely put civilians in harms way so that when they die Hamas can use their deaths as propaganda for useful idiots to get uptight over.
DON'T YOU EVER SLEEP.
YOUR OBSESSION WITH THIS TOPIC AND ATS IS ASTOUNDING.

Literally from your own source…

But it’s known the numbers are BS from the Palestinian Authority.
Again. The Al-Ahli Arab Hospital explosion on Oct 17. A misfire Gaza militant rocket hit the hospital parking lot and it was reported 500 people were killed.
Hamas lied that it was an Isreal air strike. Using satellite and video investigation, it was more likely there was less than 100 casualties.
a clear example of Hamas right out lying, pinning deaths on Isreal not caused by them, inflation the number of dead by a factor of at least 5.
Hamas lies. Hamas uses human shields.

Why is this thread still here?
South Africa accuses Israel of committing acts of genocide in the Gaza Strip in violation of the 1948 Genocide Convention, which defined and prohibited genocide. South Africa brought the case by invoking its "obligation to prevent genocide" as a signatory to the United Nations Genocide Convention.

The bottom line is ... the strike on Rafah may have killed 22 children, but it equally may not have. The information is coming from Hamas and they have a history of lying and inflating numbers and calling dead terrorists 'palestinian children'. So no one knows if the story in the opening post is true or not.
In December, Israel's military said it estimated 66% of those killed to be civilians. Even the conservative figure of 61 percent is higher than the average civilian death rate in all world conflicts "from the Second World War to the 1990s."
Netanyahu has repeatedly said the military is on track to eliminate Hamas, and in an interview with Dr. Phil on Friday claimed that 14,000 Hamas fighters have so far been killed. Israel estimated Gaza to have 30,000 fighters
