Anyone who generalizes as a "violent demonstration" in which there is one case or very few cases of violence when we are talking about hundreds of protesters is a complete liar, shameless and has a clear objective, to divert attention.

Yes, FlyersFan, this protest, like most protests worldwide, are peaceful. Millions of peaceful people, demonstrating peacefully around the world and violence in them is residual or non-existent.

Do you know where the demonstrations are not peaceful at all? In Israel. You should look beyond your propaganda and compare both protests.

I am having trouble understanding the logic here. Sure HAMAS "did some things", but because other people did bad things, it's OK. That's idiotic. It's 5 year old logic. it's wrong. The whole Columbia U. event is really out of hand. The protesters feel they can lock arms and walk toward Jews and if the Jews do not get out of their way or leave then the Jews are violating the protester's rights, all the while chanting/screaming BS.

The animosity toward Israel and the Zionist idea has transcended into a widespread hatred of Jews, and has become de rigueur among progressive, liberal circles, primarily in the US but also in other Western countries.

THE PROBLEM of modern antisemitism, and especially that propagated by useful idiots, will not go away as long as there is a large number of academics around the world who insist on fueling the incitement and promoting the anti-Zionist and anti-Israeli narrative. These professors act deliberately to brainwash and inflame their students with lies and half-truths, without explaining the overall picture, or at least presenting the Israeli narrative.

A Jewish student at Columbia University said anti-Israel protesters snatched and burned his Israeli flag, then struck him in the face with rocks during campus unrest over the weekend.

Jonathan Lederer, 22, told cops he was displaying the Israeli flags shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday when a protester grabbed one of them and took off — while another agitator burned a second flag.

According to police, Lederer started shooting video of the incident when two other anti-Israel protesters hurled rocks at him, hitting him in the face before taking off.

Police offices arrested 133 demonstrators at the anti-Israel protests at New York University's campus on Monday night, NYPD sources told Fox News.

Officers used zip ties and flex cuffs to remove the protesters from campus. They were taken on a bus to police headquarters, where they were charged with trespassing, the sources said.

With the breach of the barricades early this afternoon, that requirement was violated, and we witnessed disorderly, disruptive, and antagonizing behavior that has interfered with the safety and security of our community," the university said in a statement.
