Their calculations are more based on whether we will go to war with them to protect Israel.

Biden's indecisiveness and waffling and trying to placate the Michigan Jihadis makes it more likely that Iran will miscalculate, which is how you actually get into wars.

A miscalculation on Saddam's part was how we got the Gulf War in 1990/1.

I hate it Republicans and Bush during that time, my husband spend 3 campaigns in the middle east and it was hard to keep up with news at the time, I volunteer on family services at our base, just to be able to get my hands on information, our job was to give information and news about benefits for families that their active service member love one has become casualties of war, it was a very eye opening experience.

But it was a sense of patriotism and duty among people service members and civilians, that only happen when you have a strong leadership and a strong president.

No they will not, but the international community condemnation of the attacking country will be so big that they will fade into the background until another attack in the future, just like what happen after the US with Bush war in the middle east.

Just to have biden give Afghanistan to terrorist factions decades later.

IF the US goes headlong into full-scale war in the Middle East again, it's not going to escalate into WW3.

How do we know? Because we've gone headlong into full-scale war in the Middle East several times already and every time Russia and China sit on the sidelines.

They don't want to go to war with the US any more than we want to go to war with them. We all do what we can to avoid that at all costs.

Russia isn't going to engage in direct warfare with the US--which will lead to the decimation of both countries--to protect some ally-of-convenience like Iran.

Direct warfare no longer exists. Missiles will pass each other in the night and the US can strike the middle east much easier than they can strike them at this point.

All it takes is for Russia and China to join the middle east and they are set to fight the west, from what I've been seeing, that's a possibility. If that happened, the west loses simply by human attrition.
