It's all lies and hyperbole whereislogic, organised religious practice that is.

Else the big fellow is late to the party.

Or simply an absentee parent who does not give a rats arse by my guess.

The bigger question aside of who are the sons plural of God, you can read these two ways. I choose to believe that Satan was called out as a member of the group of sons called before God.

Now it fell upon a day, that the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.—Job 1:6

Cool, but if Jesus is/was a man, and Lucifer an angel, then they could hardly be brothers.

The problem lies in choosing what to believe tamusan.

Again because it is all open to interpretation.

I was just watching the Gospel of Mary and Jesus' secret teachings which showed me that early Christians had not cemented their teachings nor the true 'path'. Perhaps we need to go back and relearn how the early Christians grappled with the hard questions of life and faith.

All the understanding Jesus had already existed with God at the beginning of everything.

Lucifer’s brother is Michael. Neither are sons of god. They are creations.

Jesus is his son and sits at his right hand.

Angels even, as opposed to people.

Creations indeed.

Then again so are we, or so the good book would have us believe, Adam and Eve, dust, ribs, and all the jazz.

Yeah, so many people have made countless interpretations and translations over the millennia but just maybe there's someone not going to hell, I suppose.

Some may argue that we are already there tamusan.

But punished for all eternity for simple disagreement or non-compliance.

I don't think thats really what benevolent omnipotent entities who apparently love us unconditionally would do.

Because it's not exactly synonymous with the benevolent part for a start.

Jesus' secret teachings reveal there is no hell...matter dissolves but the soul is the only true self and where there is no flesh (matter), sin does not exist.

To be fair, woudl you unleash the bulk of Humanity into the Heavenly Realms as they are currently?

I sure as heck wouldn't.

I think we're more in a state of Purgatory than Hell.

That's all I got from the one video of the Gospel of Mary I watched. I'd have to read the entire gospel, which is impossible, because there are missing pages, to find an answer to that question.

Why do you think certain gospels were deliberately not included in the final version?

Why did Jesus need to have secret teachings?

If our true self is the spirit/soul where sin cannot exist, then when we are in the form of matter/flesh therein lies the original sin ? just throwing thoughts out there.

Then again, when we are in the flesh/matter state isn't that God's/nature's design and why would sin exist?

I would not even let us off-world GENERAL EYES never mind into heaven present condition and all that jazz.

The fact of the matter is heaven seems to be painted as a utopia of sorts.

And realistically one must accept thats not what humans are after or where they wish to reside.

It's definitely going to be difficult for me to keep sinning if they take my flesh away. It actually sounds like hell to just be a floaty thing without the fleshy brain and meat suit to perceive existence.

Preconceived notions are just that, we know not what awaits us in the beyond.

The councils of Nicea, preference, control, take your pick really.

Why did Jesus need to have secret teachings?

The same reason he was crucified because his way of thought and teachings was deemed to be dangerous and not in line with TPTB agenda of the time.

f our true self is the spirit/soul where sin cannot exist, then when we are in the form of matter/flesh therein lies the original sin ?

Well according to the good book that would be stealing apples from the tree of knowledge if memory serves.

Thoughts are cool quintessentone, fling around as many as you please, as its nice to spitball the topic in question.

You mean according to the final cherry picked version they stole knowledge from the tree or exercised their free will or freedom of choice ?

What Jesus Said: What is the realm of God like? What shall I compare it to? It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds perched in its branches. (Luke 13:18-19)

What Jesus Meant: The mustard seed is the self-knowledge that lives within you and grows as you progress along the spiritual path. Once planted in the fertile ground of a seeker, the seed will grow as knowledge grows, no matter how small it is to start. The birds represent the various facets of our true self, including the parts we may not especially like. Once the birds find shelter here (in our soul), we can begin to fully accept ourselves and find inner peace.

www.patheos.com...

If self-knowledge always lived within us, then there is no original sin.

Knowledge and the progression of knowledge seems to be a requirement for soul ascension.

Aka the Bible.

Predestination and free will are a doozy quintessentone.

Ideologies that are not exactly synonymous.

Point of fact, they would appear to be in direct conflict with one another.
