Excellent idea. However, the correct information needs to be in the database.
As an example, there is a 'romance scam artist' that has a '50 state' Order of Protection she scammed in Florida. She has been married some ten (10) time and uses the OP as a sword to strip her victims of all their property.
Be cautious out there. She spouts the Bible like and old time tent preacher and has appeared as Catholic, Protestant and Jewish, when the need arises. She has worked her scams in Florida, El Paso Texas and Arizona. She like to use 'dating web sites', and is currently working out of El Paso.

For possessing a gun, you need to be a minimum of a legal resident of the USA. but for owning a pistol, you may need to be a citizen in most states.

You are incorrect as legal resident aliens can purchase a gun. Please visit the ATF site for more info.

Do you not see you are saying the exact same thing?
Legal Residents can buy guns, and as RickyMouse stated you have to be, at least, a legal resident.
How can it be that they are saying the same thing as you and yet they are 'incorrect'??

P.S. not a rhetorical question.

No.
The Constitution states what the Federal Government has to do (responsibilities and powers to accomplish said responsibilities) and what Federal Government can't do (The Bill of Rights).
Laws passed by Congress state what U.S. Citizen can't do.
The Constitution is about the Federal Government, that's it.

Funny how you guys suddenly hate the 2nd Amendment when it's brown people buying the guns.

What happened to "shall not be infringed?"

Federal prohibits undocumented immigrants from purchasing or possessing firearms under the Gun Control Act of 1968 in which restricts firearm access for non-citizens who are not legal residents.

And why do you think that's not a violation of the 2nd Amendment? Remember, the Bill of Rights isn't a list of things we can do. It's a list a things the government can't do.

The Supreme Court has not explicitly ruled on whether the Second Amendment guarantees the right to possess firearms for non-citizens and as for Judge Sharon Coleman's decision to dismiss the charges against Heriberto Carbajal-Flores was influenced by previous lower court rulings but you can thank Obama for that.

"The Court finds that Carbajal-Flores' criminal record, containing no improper use of a weapon, as well as the non-violent circumstances of his arrest do not support a finding that he poses a risk to public safety such that he cannot be trusted to use a weapon responsibly and should be deprived of his Second Amendment right to bear arms in self-defense," Coleman, who was appointed under President Barack Obama, wrote in her eight-page ruling filed March 8.

You can see the problem here with corruption coming from (D)-Coleman's ruling.
