Further indicated by the fact that Colorado's supreme court allowed for this chicanery and that SCOTUS had to rule gave it all that much more legitimacy to those extremists.

so that doesn't mean sh@@, the ruling came from a appeal made by trump on the ruling by CO's, supreme courts ruling on it.

i'm not particularly fond of trump, lots of republican folks aren't there were a couple of other candidates i'd rather seen win, but i'm not gonna stand in his way to get rid of what we have now.

This is the exact ruling that I was expecting. I was just pointing out that the headline claiming someone couldn't be removed from the ballot is incorrect. The ruling laid out very clearly what would be needed to remove someone from the ballot. Something that nearly half of the bench thought was overstepping the scope of this case.

My take was the section says someone can't "HOLD" office, not someone can't run and get elected. The authority action(s) happen AFTER the election and before swearing in. And that might be what we see someday. 😃
