Funny you speak of moral and integrity on a thread in regards to George Santos.

You have House members supporting Hamas and you want to lecture anyone on morals and integrity?

lol

That's because Biden won't sign anything he's told not to sign. 😃

He voted for Biden 100% when he was in the house previously. This was all planned once they found the dirt on Santos.

I will like to see who in these boards can bring the name of one candidate politician that has not ties to corruption.

Nobody, crickets, none, nadie,...

I doubt that next elections I even bother myself with voting, we all know that elections in the US are rigged.

Democrats (and republicans) always campaign on one platform but always pivot after the election.

The discussion is about a corrupt politican making up false stories about their past.

Republican George Santos, who was indicted on a charge of fraud and then expelled from Congress late last year amid revelations that he fabricated much of his life story.

Do we not have a POTUS who is doing the same, only on a much longer and larger scale?

There are no rules in war, and America is definitely at war with what was, what is and what will be.

Santos was expelled because he was stealing the credit card information from his donors and then making illegal charges, which included at least one other member of Congress and their mother.

Santos been convicted yet? I mean, you have any idea how many felons are in Congress?

His actions were deemed unbefitting of a Congressperson by an Ethics Committee headed up by his own party that recommended he be removed from office.

I asked if he has been convicted?

Democrats started it.

In January 2023, Ritchie Torres and Dan Goldman, House Democrats from New York, filed an ethics complaint. Then when there was no traction another Senior Democrat pushed to release the findings.

They found the same things he was charged with....and he resigned. He was not removed by Congress or Republicans.

Is he a dirtbag? Yes. Was this all about taking back his seat? Yes. Like I said, the person who took back his seat worked with the same team that indicted him

NY is corrupt as hell.

I mean, the head of the Congressional Ethics Office still has his job...I guess it is not a seat though right?

Does Senator ‘quid pro quo’ Menendez qualify for ‘actions unbefitting’ ?

The ethics investigation was initiated in May 2023 after an initial expulsion motion was filed when his first indictment dropped. The Ethics Committee released their report in November. An expulsion vote was held on December 1 after a motion from the head of the Ethics Committee (and Republican) Michael Guest. Santos was expelled with a vote of 311-114.

I guess we'll have to wait for the Senate Ethics Committee to issue a report.

I am unaffiliated, fiscal conservative, social liberal.

Which I think the majority of voters are.

I also think majority stay low-key and quiet about their politics “speaking” through their voting.

I think majority have had enough of Trump and his antics.

I think the GOP has lost major credibility bordering on insanity.

Way too many GOP politicians fearing losing their job — instead of taking an ethical stand for the core values they are supposed to be representing.

I hope you’re right about change. It’s seriously needed.
