Latest On Sunday's Joel Osteen Megachurch Mass Shooter

I was wondering why we haven't heard much about the recent Joel Osteen's Texas mega-church shooting a day ago.

According to reports, a woman opened fire in the crowded church, critically injuring a 5 yr. old and one other church-goer, before two off-duty police officers shot and killed her.

Hats off to these carrying officers for averting a potential bloodbath.

Beyond that, not much info about the dead female shooter has been released.

"The individual was identified as Genesse Moreno who was previously known as Jeffery Escalante.

Moreno, who is clearly unstable, allegedly brought a 5-year old to the shooting who was shot during the incident.

The child is in critical condition.

The gun that was used to carry out the mass shooting allegedly had "free Palestine" on it.|

Back in 2020, Moreno shared a photo of Bernie Sanders on Instagram with the caption: "I WANT HIM IN THE OFFICE as the US PRESIDENT."

Is this another who was traumatized bc the church was against "gender affirming" care?

Or someone with mental issues, including gender dysphoria, who snapped bc proper care was held back?

They were going on about this last night on Fox news. They repeatedly stated that they did not know if their year old was the same one that 'she' brought along or another at the church. Has it been confirmed about the 5 year old? Strange to bring along a shooting victim like that. Then again I find it very strange to just start shooting people.

Perhaps it is the roid rage from hormone treatments that contributed to this.

From reading the linked article, basically, the young boy was with the female shooter. She entered the church with a long gun and apparently no one noticed until she began to shoot it.

She was shot by the off duty cops who had been hired as armed security though they failed to notice the long gun in her possession prior to the shooting.

While one point in the article suggests the boy was shot by the woman who brought him into the church a comment by the police chief suggests otherwise.

I will say this,” Houston Police Chief Troy Finner told reporters during a news conference outside the church. “That female, that suspect, put that baby in danger. I’m going to put that blame on her.”

This sounds as if he says not that the woman shot the young boy but still blames her for ''putting him in danger'' suggesting that it was others, the security officers who shot him while shooting at the woman. Possibly the other man who was shot was also shot by security.

She was not a very effective mass shooter if one of the two people shot were there with her, the young boy.

From the article it's unclear how she died. While it states that she was killed by those security cops, it also says that after she was shot she claimed that she also had a bomb. So at least she lived long enough to make that claim.

Who's child did he bring with him?

Why isn't anyone asking about the 5 year old boy?

Was this trans person an illegal immigrant?

Why did this person bring a male child to (what was supposed to be) a mass shooting?

It's weird how another one of these shootings happened in a "gun free zone", huh?

BREAKING: Lakewood Church Shooter Identified as Transgender Immigrant from El Salvador

Authorities have identified the shooter as Genesse Ivonne Moreno, a 36-year-old transgender immigrant from El Salvador, according to multiple independent sources speaking to KHOU 11 Jeremy Rogalski.

Moreno, who has a criminal history stretching back to 2005, was previously known as Jeffery Escalante, based on records from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

His past arrests paint a troubling picture, encompassing a range of offenses including failure to stop and give information, assault of a public servant, assault causing bodily injury, forgery, possession of marijuana, theft, evading arrest, and unlawful carrying of a weapon.

Almost all of the reports I can find on the shooting are from about 18 hours ago, the earliest being 21 hours ago,

The latest I can find is from 3 hours ago.

One would think that after 18 hours since the first report that local police would have more information on just how the five year old was wounded. Again, one report was that the woman shot the child but the police are not, even hours later not commenting on exactly how the child was shot. Could it be that they are working out an acceptable story line to protect the errant shots of the security team?

Thank goodness there were those armed with guns to kill someone armed with a gun. It is only with the proliferation of more guns into the hands of those prepared to kill, that all these deaths can be averted.

I mean, the mentally unbalanced and the criminal have rights to firearms, too. And they are just the very types to commit the acts of murder and mayhem against what they perceive as tyranny. It's a 'right' enabled in the 2nd Amendment!
