What does the mess that America find itself in have to do with the left?

My earliest memory of politics goes back to when the first Bush was in office, since then the country has flipped between centrist and centre right presidents. Corporate money decides elections so why would they back a left, or even a centre left candidate? It doesn't make a slight bit of sense to anyone with a brain.

If you're upset about immigration, blame the economic system, since it's measured by the productivity of it's citizens, the easiest way to achieve growth is by letting more people in. Whether you vote for Biden or Trump you'll never see immigration go down because they understand this simple principle of economics. If America really did adopt a closed border policy it's population would start to decline, like it would in any other first world country. So, despite all the grandstanding and promises to build walls, even Trump isn't dumb enough to do that because he'd be harming the economy in the process.

Or, he did a few things that were shady, but the multitude of things he's being charged with that have to be prosecuted before the election make the 91 charges seem a little excessive and politically driven. Depends on how you look at it I suppose.

It's a good thing they were able to stop him from taking out loans and paying them back with interest. Had he been able to keep doing that, he could have crashed the banking industry.

Some are political; e.g. Stormy. Some are not; e.g. 'alternate electors'.

Not that you would get this, but from this side, it's frustrating to see the double standard directed directly at one guy. He banged a whore, paid her both to bang her, then to shut up, have her sign and NDA, and was charged for a crime.

He did business in NYC and was charged with a crime, found guilty before the trial started, and then fined over a quarter of a billion dollars.

He was pissed off that he was cheated out of the election and complained to his people. About 800 of them out of a few hundred thousand got violent with cops, and he is charged with a crime. Even when the facts clearly show he was cheated out of the election by the IC and Dems forcing the laptop story to be hidden during the election.

The electors thing was because of that, it appears he thought there would be some justice and those giving him advice told him to have a backup plan. Now apparently that's a crime

Of all the things being claimed he did, the only thing that appears to be a true crime is him not giving NARA their papers back.

If he was treated like everyone else, there wouldn't be much to argue about other than his orange hue, and tendency to say stupid things and fight with insignificant people on twitter. But because the DOJ is using the courts to try to subvert the process of letting the people decide, he has been elevated to martyr status. As with most things, the attacks usually backfire, and I'm hoping these do as well.

Since our options are Joetatoe, and likely him or Haley, I'm hoping for him or Haley, and I'd prefer him based on his ability to make the nation work better than it has been, and not getting kids killed in stupid wars. Haley will make things a little better here, but go to war with anyone who wants to scrap.

Hoping for Gary Johnson to put down the bong long enough to run for president just doesn't seem to be a viable alternative.

Back in the old days, we didn't use the courts to hamstring political opponents, this isn't the old days anymore.

But if you are lucky, he will be put in jail for the rest of his life for not giving papers back and being pissed off that he was #ed out of office, and never even kissed.

And I didn't say it did. I did claim that because the election was legitimately stolen from him, his rants about being dicked out of the election don't look the same as they did before this revaluation came to light. They did take ur election. Right in front of everyone.

My point in all this isn't to say Trump is great, or even good, or even that everyone should vote for him. It's that using the law to keep a political opponent from winning is a total totalitarian move and not something anyone with morals should be cheering on. Put up a better candidate and vote him out the old fashioned way. If his crimes were important enough to prosecute, they should have been brought when he did them, not all at once just when they are the most politically convenient.

Seeing everyone cheering for this makes me thing folks just aren't smart enough to realize once the toothpaste is out of the tube, you can't put it back. This will be used again and again, and we will truly be the banana republic we seem to be aspiring to be.

They used the DOJ and big Tech to censor factual information that was critical to the decision of who to elect. To me, that seems like something that is anti-American. It's not something a person who values the constitution should be cheering on.
