So we believe the assessor?

Is that it?

Assessor is not an appraiser and vice versa.

Two completely different things.

If Angoron would have merely asked his GF, or whoever it is he's taking advice from, they would have let him in on that.

But you already know this.

Seriously? This is a discussion?
Anyone seriously thinking the property value is 18M or less should have their head checked by a doctor. The cultural significance alone would put it at around 40 to 50M...
I am not even American, for or against Mr. Trump, but i can clearly see there is no reason whatsoever for hate, bias and fanaticism, more so about Mar-a-Lago which is an icon for the American Dream.
Eish!

Well not being American, you clearly don’t understand the depth of the American Liberal mental illness.
Without experiencing their insanity first hand, you couldn’t possibly know how far they will go to destroy Orange Man Bad.

Has property value in the area of the estate gone up or down?

Simple question, but if you desire to equivocate, piss into fans, and waffle, then by all means,

Continue.

Wouldn't that be a question for the county tax assessors office?

Oh, Right.

Do...

Do you own a home?

Not trying to be a prick, but if you did, you'd know that the assessed (taxable) value is very, VERY different than the market value.

It seems like Trump’s fraud verdict was delayed to let the Supreme Court issue their ruling next week on his ban from the ballot.

Once again, the judge didn't value the house. He was using the valuation done by the Palm Beach assessor.

Furthermore, when Trump bought the property it was zoned as a private residence. It is now zoned as a beach club that is also on the historic places registry. That severely limits what any future owner can do with it.

You just said a whole lot of nothing.

Land value of this magnitude does not go down.

The bank evaluated the loan Trump wanted and approved it.

The loan was paid back.

There is no crime unless you would like to prosecute the bank loan agent.

The "cultural significance" is actually something that hurts its value. Because it's on the national registry for historic places any changes made to the property requires cutting through a lot of red tape.

Did Obama's Martha's Vineyard mansion go up or down in value since he purchased it in 2019?
We all know it becomes MORE expensive...because of it's celebrity ownership.

Does buying the home of a former US President add value and significance to the purchase?
You will be lying if you say "NO".

I hope Endogron is enjoying this moment in the spotlight. He will likely live to regret it.

The joke is that it really doesn't matter even if the value was one dollar. To first try and criminalize a private loan from a foreign bank and when that failed to try and turn it into a civil case should scare the crap out of all of us on both sides.

It is all fun and games for the TDS crowd, same with Giuliani, the pillow guy, conservative parents etc. But wait until it comes home to one of you on the left...We have seen this time and time again where the left does something to get the conservatives and it ends up where they eat their own, so I'm getting the popcorn ready.

it's like they just aren't smart enough to realize once Trump is gone, these precedents aren't. They can't just say, we decided to reverse these things, now that the objective has been reached. Oh, and none of this was political in nature......

I have said this before, but there really is a Trump curse and that ends up being if you throw stones you better have your own life in good order and most do not and it backfires on them.

We could list dozens, but the most current one is Fani Willis...lol

The Trump packed SCOTUS has taught us there's no such thing as precedent and anything can be reversed.

Willis has admitted to having a personal relationship with one of her prosecutors, after he was hired, and no public funds had been spent on their travel.

Last time I checked there was nothing illegal about that.

Post, who died in 1973, willed the 17-acre (6.9 ha) estate to the United States government as a Winter White House for presidents and visiting foreign dignitaries. Richard Nixon preferred the Florida White House in Key Biscayne, however, and Jimmy Carter was not interested. The federal government soon realized the immense cost of maintenance and the difficulty of maintaining security for diplomats, and returned it to the Post Foundation in 1981. It was then listed for sale for $20 million. Dina Merrill and Post's two other daughters did not maintain the property in the meantime, anticipating a sale, but there was so little interest that its demolition to build smaller homes was approved.

Donald Trump learned about the estate after unsuccessfully trying to purchase and combine two apartments in Palm Beach for his family. He offered the Post family $15 million for it, but they rejected it. Trump purchased the land between Mar-a-Lago and the ocean from Jack C. Massey, the former owner of KFC, for $2 million, stating he intended to build a home that would block Mar-a-Lago's beach view. The threat caused interest in the property to decline, and Trump ended up getting the property for $7 million in 1985. Different sources have put the combined total cost of the purchase at around $10 million. The minimum acceptable bid had been $20 million, and the interior furnishings were appraised at $8 million. Wikipedia

What Trump paid for it, by the above valuation: $18m including the bathroom fittings. Only $7m for the property itself.
