Basement? Basements are extremely rare in Florida. Doubtful there's a basement at Mar a Lago.

Very rare and unheard of on the coast.

Now, from what I have read they did have them along with fall out shelters. The home is built on a coral reef that was there once and not the built up silt/limestone you usually see. I googled this and found it. Not what I had read initially but explains it.

Does anyone really believe Trump wouldn’t just go ahead and build/install whatever he wanted without permits and plans?

You know. He’s such a rule follower.

People in trailer parks add on with no permits. If he had something non-permitted and there was an issue he loses a 300 million dollar home.

He’ll just talk his way out of it.

That and or get plans and just pay off the inspector.

Plenty of that going around all over the country.

I see some home inspectors on tiktok and some of the homes have structural and electrical problems. It's like they just gave the inspector a brown paper bag full of cash to just sign off. And that's new construction.

My brother was a contractor.

Amazing what a six pack of beer will get you.

Do you have any idea about the story of MAL and how they tried to not let him be there? Guys, I know you can get "subcontracted work". It is everywhere. I have added walls and rooms in my house.

You are trying to say The Orange Man used a 12 pack of PBR for a secret room?

My brother -- contractor -- had his loyal "right hand guy".

You know how Trump loves loyalty (only if it's to him).

Worker's work -- they don't usually get involved in the decision making.

I heard they could not even use the beach.....

On a serious note though I would love to know more about the hidden passageway out (tunnel) at MAL. Wonder if it is still in use.

Chess match continues... Trump is still WINNING.

UPDATE/REFRESHER on Documents the FBI continues looking for...and probably more. Evidence of CRIMES committed by the Obama Administration, including JOE BIDEN. (A couple of corrupt Judges too.)

But must do like to drink and gossip. Or just tell a fanciful story.

Shrugs..

Framing & Masonry Inspections
Made after the roof, masonry, all framing, firestopping, and bracing are in place and all electrical, plumbing, heat ducts, vents, chimneys, and other equipment are installed, complete, or roughed in, and prior to concealment.

Rough Plumbing, Electrical and Mechanical Inspections
Usually made at the same stage of construction completion as the framing and masonry inspection, made prior to the concealment of the electrical, plumbing, ducts, vents, chimneys, and other equipment by insulation and drywall and before the fixtures are set.

You don’t keep something secret unless you do it yourself on a piece of property you only use. Not on a large property staffed and serviced by everything from plumbers, electricians, to IT contractors. Even fire code. That requires an inspection.

It was about 20 years ago. But it was a news segment about a car body shop twenty years ago. That one shop was open to any walk in inspection by some twenty government departments.

Besides. With the advances of thermal imaging of persons to electrical gear/wiring, could you even hide a secret room theses days.

MAL is a National Historic Landmark. You cannot make change and to try would be on the books.
