Within hours of my office sending a letter asking Jack Smith to produce information regarding his investigation, his case against Trump is removed from the docket. Jack Smith owes the American people and Congress answers.
My colleagues and I have grave constitutional concerns about the appointment of Jack Smith. That is why I am demanding answers from him. Jack Smith has 9 days to respond.
Trump was scheduled to go to trial in the federal criminal case against him for trying to overturn the 2020 election, brought by special counsel Jack Smith—but the case has gotten delayed waiting for a federal appeals court to weigh in on Trump’s motion to dismiss the charges, and it was removed from the court’s calendar, with presiding Judge Tanya Chutkan now scheduled to oversee other trials starting on March 18 and April 2.

I'm guessing they'll move it to Nov 5th.

Special Counsel Jack Smith has been excoriated by a panel of four appellate court judges for his unprecedented search of a former president’s private communications.
The judges condemned Smith’s violation of executive privilege by searching former President Donald Trump’s Twitter files.

...or until December 5th....after all the last minute mail-in ballots are "counted".
What is ballot curing? According to The Council of State Governments' website, ballot curing is a procedure where a voter, after they were notified of a signature-related error involving their ballot, is given time to correct that error.
"States conduct the curing process in different ways. Some states only allow voters to correct their ballots in cases of discrepancies in signature matching but not in cases of missing signatures. Other states require a witness signature on mail-in ballots alongside the voter’s," read a portion of the website.
What is the ballot curing rule for Arizona?
Under Arizona law, voters with inconsistent signatures on their early ballot, or voters who did not sign their early ballot, are given a chance to cure their ballots.

There's nothing mysterious about it. The case is on hold pending the DC Circuit's immunity ruling. Despite saying they were going to expedite the case, it has now delayed the case for almost two months.
More than 50 days have elapsed since Trump’s criminal proceedings in a Washington, D.C., trial court — on charges for attempting to subvert the 2020 election — were paused indefinitely. They won’t resume until the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals and, most likely, the Supreme Court resolve the question hanging over the entire case: whether Trump, as a former president, is immune from criminal prosecution.
Even if the appeal were resolved this week against Trump, that calculation would put his earliest trial date in late April. But if the D.C. Circuit and the Supreme Court take additional weeks or months to deliver a final ruling, the opening days of Trump’s trial could be pushed to the summer or fall.
If, at that point, Trump retains his grip on the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, he and his allies are certain to exert intense pressure to postpone the trial until after the election. Chutkan, an Obama appointee, could plow forward with a trial anyway — and she’s repeatedly indicated that the campaign calendar has no bearing on her own.
