I see no reason why the universe can not operate without intelligent design. Throwing some God into the mix just makes things worse and we get stuck in the chicken or egg scenario. Then people suggest well he has always been and will be forever... OK that fixed it, but there still is the Why do we even need God? Oh for the eternal afterlife of pure goodness.

Let me ask you... all for what in the end? What does God get out of putting us in physical bodies to play games with so we can either have an internal good or eternal bad while not knowing either exists or even if God exists...

If he does exist it is so F'ed up.

The reality for me is I find religion boring as hell...that there is plan and simple. I really do not want to invest a single minute of my time into it all. You can invest a ton of time in your posts, much I already know, but I can care less in the end.

Then you have this mix of an all-powerful God that created the universe, maybe unlimited numbers of the universe, but then we have the same God who plays the game of good and evil with us to dangle sins in front of us like a carrot and then he said... no, no, no...

It really is a messed up situation...lol And I just do not want to play.

Ignorant people need a god because they do not understand physics or other science. It's something we have to live with since the ignorant outnumber us.

It is much deeper than that. Being religious doesn't mean a person is ignorant or low IQ, religion is really a part of what makes humans, human.

Humans live about 90% of their time in an abstract world, we think of it then we make it a reality just like the computer we are using. We can't even get past Breakfast without abstractly creating it first and then turning it into existence. Religion is a by-product of just how our brains work. We invent things in our head and we then make it real, like Blackholes.

Is there intelligent design, IDK, but it seems very unlikely because the universe doesn't need it to work. Where it gets real squishy is mixing this intelligent design with good/evil, right/wrong like some intelligent design made our legs and said, you are forbidden to run, just walk...lol, It all just doesn't make sense, but what does is we invented morals to keep those inner demons at bay and religion is the strongest tool to use.

Humans named these complex chemical reactions life, and then said life is so special, and then said humans are the most special of all since we also have souls, sucks to be a cow, right?

It is all a human construct just like the UFO phenomena, Star Wars, or pronouns...
