Biden and his Admin don't need Congress to authorize active duty military on the Border, or to have FEMA setup trailers to stop the Migrants from "Migrating" before they are adjudicated for assylum claims and living in endless poverty. 😃

It must not be that much of a crisis if Republicans just want to let things go on for another year, on the chance Trump will be re-elected.

Why not let Congress fix what they can, right now? Then, when/if Trump is elected, he can fix what Congress didn't in this bill.

I mean, if there's such a crisis on the border, and Texas and their allies don't want the federal government on the border in their state, then let Congress fix what they can now, and Trump can perfect it on Day One!

Why do you suppose Biden and a Democrat controlled Congress did nothing in 2021 and 2022 when they had the power to? Hmmmm. Why did they rescind all Trump policies that were working? Hmmmm. 😀

i will fine tune your closing thought

"Nothing Will Happen to Stem the Tide of Illegal immigration until Mr. Trump is Reelected POTUS ."

to this forecast: 'Nothing Will Happen to Stem the Tide of Illegal immigration until Mr. Trump is Reelected POTUS . until 100 Million Illegals are resettled here in USA (or 2050 deadline)

They can just use the 100 mile rule. They passed it....SCOTUS even ruled on it.

So, where does this go?

On it's face, we can expect even further delays in legal immigration in an already strained and slow system. That's the best case scenario.

If one allows themselves to don just the tiniest of tinfoil hats, they would be able to foresee amnesty. This could be a very small number up to a very large number and even up to encompassing all. But that would require a little bit bigger of a shiny hat.

If you're like me and cloak yourself in the light of the foil, then you too may be able to see a situation where there is say a quid pro quo. That is gov't service, be it local law enforcement to a federal force, in order to secure that citizenship.

Point being, in none of these scenarios does it bolster faith in our institutions and certainly is an affront to the laws passed by congress.

Did I miss anything?

I already said, Trump's policies were temporary bandages that lost leverage when the COVID provisions ended. And, Mexico refused to continue with the Remain in Mexico policy, as it never gained Safe 3rd Country status.

I guess Trump wasn't that great a negotiator after all. I mean, what ?, 30 billion in aid up front, matched by some of the right kind of private corporate grants, and I bet Mexico could have been convinced to play ball.

No they can't. Once on American soil, anyone has the right to claim asylum. Border Patrol can't reject them before a court adjudicates them.

Right, and Trump's policies didn't fix anything until COVID came along. All it did was give border patrol the responsibility of detaining hundreds of thousands of immigrants, separating kids from their parents, husbands from wives, and then losing track of everyone. When COVID came along, Trump closed the border to everyone, including asylum seekers.

Trump didn't "fix" anything.

What about all the other polices that were cancelled?

And can you show support for your claims???

You conveniently misinterpret what I wrote again. 😀
Why are Democrats allowing endless poverty for Migrants?

Our legal system does this everyday to our own citizens. Some regimes do it against their political opponents......

Your facade of empathy is hollow.

Trump tried. CONGRESS did not do anything. A president is not the supreme ruler and he tried to do it the correct way. Remember the shut down talk with Schumer?

Exactly. So now, Congress has a bipartisan bill that the Senate passed, that leans far right, and Biden says if The House passes the bill, he'll "shut down the border".

So why won't the House Republicans take up the bill?

sweetie, I know you are trying really hard to hate him, but there is data that shows his policies slowed the illegal flow at the border greatly.

www.statista.com...

if you need help understanding the simple chart, just let me know.

Probably because it keeps having some other countries borders that don't enjoin ours.

...just a hunch.
