Where did you read this? i didnt get ANYTHING of what you are talking about.
"Getting out of jury duty is easy. The trick is to say you're prejudiced against all races."
The article...
I've only be called for jury duty once, and I'm, uh, a couple of years beyond my 18th birthday.

By that logic, then testimony is not tangible therefore not evidence.
No. Logically, reality doesn't require tangible evidence to exist.

Most likely the trauma of being sexually assaulted took precedent over what time it was, at the time.

I was forcibly raped in my own home by an ex-boyfriend.
I let him in -- because I knew him, and he was never forceful before.
Could not tell you the date or time. I think it was in the afternoon.
"He said - she said" -- I voluntarily let him in.
Trauma stays with you -- it never goes away. 40 years later "Coulda - Shouda - Woulda" still bounces around in my psych.
I have a psychology friend who specializes in PTSD. He says you have one choice and that is to confront it. You cannot bury trauma.
I think, not only E Jean Carroll, but a lot of women are feeling impowered now.
There is no other way (or in the past) this would have gone to trial and the woman actually won.

I am sorry for your pain and I agree facing it head on is the only way. Go Carroll go!
We absolutely know what would have happened back then and so did Carroll and one of her friends that she told what happened to. One friend advised her to go to the police, the other advised not to because she would not be believed and there would be backlash. Lose - lose scenario for women at that time and even still today depending on whether or not you confided in anyone, got a rape test done etc. because there are never any witnesses - NEVER.

Accusations happen all the time. Some are credible — some are not.
Oh, wait — it’s against Biden . . .

There is a difference between defending and discussing facts. It scares me and should scare everyone that this instance could happen to anyone.
I have two boys. I have told them my story from being younger and having a false accusation. It was horrible. I was exonerated because I was working, and had proof, of when I was supposed to have done that act.
However, with this precedent if I then told people I had not raped her I could get sued.
Let that sink in.
This is not about the Orange Man. This is about an out of control court system especially in NY.
