"February-March 2022
. This is a period of fear. And for the fact that Russia will crush [Ukraine] in a matter of weeks, and that a world war could begin. The volume of swear words in communication and posts on social networks exceeded 50%. There was real panic from a lack of understanding of what was happening . And constant aggressive attacks: “Russians, come out to rallies”, “Europe, help”, “why are you bothering your Donetsk”. And the latter - in a preventive manner. I was inundated by some non-relatives whining on the topic that it is impossible to say that this is a response for the shelling of the LDPR, “that’s something else.” Propaganda had already worked well there all these years, and during this period it blew people’s brains away.
April-August 2022
. A period of inspiration. “We Ukrainians are easily scared, but once we wake up, we can’t be stopped.” They really believed and publicly discussed how Russia would soon fall from a counterattack, would pay reparations, how Crimea would be taken from the Russians, and Kuban in general, and some other territories there. They perceived Russia's reluctance to raze cities into dust and destroy civilians as weakness. Well, propaganda did its best, of course. Everyone was convinced that the losses of the Russian army were incredibly large, that our front would soon collapse, and so on.
Autumn-winter 2022/2023
. A period of doubt. There were so many predictors from Facebook, TikTok and God knows where, promising a quick victory for Ukraine over Russia that people had enough of it. The understanding began to come that the war could last another 1-2 years, or even more. Not for everyone, of course, but for many. Propaganda presented Russian mobilization as catching people on the streets, an attempt to hide millions of losses, etc. (Actually, this is what is happening in Ukraine now). The belief in victory in Ukraine did not fade away, but it was no longer based on magical ideas about the special Ukrainian spirit, but solely on pictures of deliveries of Western wunderwaffles.
It seems that it was during this period that most of my friends fled from Ukraine. I haven’t been in touch with any of them for a long time, I just found out through some chats and looking through pages on social networks. I also noticed the first posts from the funeral. Someone from school died in the Bakhmut direction, someone from a neighboring street went missing near Kherson.
Spring-summer 2023
. As you might guess, this was the peak of expectations. COUNTER OFFENSIVE. That's right, in capital letters. If not now, then never again. People realized that war is not a joke on the news. That when the borders are closed, and funerals take place more and more often, and the front stupidly doesn’t move, it’s already scary. So they can catch you, my dear, right on the street and send you to a meat grinder. This is a period when kidnappings by military commissars grew to such a level that many stopped going out into the streets. Young people are stopped 10-20 times, even those who look clearly unsuitable for the army are stopped 2-3 times. Those for whom work gave some kind of quotas were lucky. If you have documents with you, it’s good, they won’t grab you. But if they didn’t have something with them, they could pull it without the right to go home to get things.
And at the end of the summer, it dawned on many that they were all [ENDED]. That's right, also in capital letters. At their father’s work, half of the young people were already lying in damp soil. On one of the micro-streets of my town, three funerals came in a week. And one I knew personally, he once threatened at the university that “if there is a war, I will kill the Muscovites.” Well, I got what I wanted.
All the bravado from the chat posts disappeared. Completely. People became despondent.
Autumn 2023
. Dejection squared. Fear, hatred and despondency, to be more precise. I have never heard or seen anything winning from my personal acquaintances. Everyone is scolding this war, and there is a murmur towards Kyiv, saying, why didn’t you just surrender in February, and there would have been no war. Although there are few of them, there are also some. I won’t say that people are waking up. A hackneyed phraseology, I don’t see the point in it. People still believe that Russia is to blame for everything; many smart people still believe in fairy tales about Bucha, child rape and other nonsense. But they are afraid because they no longer believe in victory. It dawned on them that the war of an elephant against a pug (look at the map and economic indicators) cannot, by definition, end in a victory for the pug. Even if the pug is cheered on by the other elephant's cheerleaders."
"A moment of questions from the other side.
– Have you renamed your hotel “Ukraine”? No?
– And you had the Taras Bulba network. Renamed or closed? Like neither one nor the other?
– Do you at least have the Kyiv metro station... damn it.
– What about Kyiv railway station?...
- Is borscht like...?
– But why don’t you rename anything?!
“So we’re full-fledged.”
The war between Russia and NATO countries, which is going on in Ukraine, will soon be 2 years old.

Putinbots need to be aware that most people in the world - including in Europe and the USA - are NOT anti-Russian. Not one little bit.
They are, however, anti-Putin. That is a big difference. And it's Putin - a paranoid, sociopathic, dictator (who has no qualms about murdering anyone who disagrees with him) - who is the real anti-Russian and has done everything in his power to destroy their economy and turn people against them.

All wars are theater IMO, created on purpose to confuse/divide/kill population numbers/control by fear/hide something etc. The 'leaders' of these countries are probably best buddies and laughing together all the way to the bank.
When in the world will people realize this ?

I know it may cause some hurt feels with some of you...but as was said almost 2 years ago...this is not a winnable war for Ukraine. All they have done is get a lot of their workforce killed off and their country turned into piles of rubble. For what? For a deal with the west...after we goaded them into this war while we use them as a proxy to the last Ukrainian.
You guys can say what you want...but a few of is here called this out way back when this started....
Nearly every Ukrainian agrees that winning the war means regaining all the land that Russia has conquered from their country since 2014, when the Crimean Peninsula was annexed by Moscow, the Gallup survey found.
While most Ukrainians support fighting until the war is won, that majority is shrinking. Last year it was 70%, and this year it is 60%.
“Fatigue is building up,” said Sergey Radchenko, a scholar of Soviet history at Johns Hopkins.
A growing number of Ukrainians are now hoping Kyiv can negotiate an end to the conflict. That sentiment, Ray said, is especially strong near the front lines in the nation’s south and east, where the toll of war is worst.
One in two Ukrainians reported in Gallup’s survey that they struggle to afford food and shelter. Experts say that Russia wants to see increasing disillusionment in Ukraine as the war drags on.
“That’s why [Russian President Vladimir] Putin has pursued this strategy of targeting infrastructure, power plants and so on,” Radchenko said. “He wants to exhaust the Ukrainian public.”

I rather doubt that.

They aren't getting the land back...thats a foregone thing. Had they made peace last year they would have more of that land than they do now...
