I would love to see a balance that allows for a greater understanding of your points above.

I would, too McGoof- but everybody is too busy choosing one of two sides. As long as the majority is able to convince themselves that their preferred party will 'save the nation' there isn't a snowballs chance in Hades of changing the corrupt system that continues to control more of our lives down to the micro-management level.

I honestly don't feel the pendulum is going to swing back from the greed of the 1% without a cataclysmic event; they've already gained far too much power.

Thing is, none of the so called independent candidates
really have anything to offer.

Bernie? LMAO the guy is a total grifter, plus too old.

Romney? He is a complete RINO.

Manchin? He lives on a boat and is a fence sitter
till he can cast his "deciding vote".

Kennedy? He is conspiracy theorist that has been
a lifelong Democrat with good work in the Childrens
Defense but not good enough to vote for.

So....who would it be?

ALL of the above my opinion of course.

i knew he said he deserved a 3rd because his first was hobbled by the false accusations and turmoil caused by the democrats hatred that he won.

The two ridiculous impeachments and the constant court challenges to every single policy decision he made, everything he did.

There is no path to a 3rd term for him, in the Constitution, and he knows that.

He says alot of stuff that people shouldnt take seriously. He runs his mouth and says everything he is thinking out loud.

In some ways, people like that are easy to trust because you always know what they are thinking, they just blurt it out.

Would you want everyone taking everything you say so seriously? Particularly if your shutup filter was as defective as his?

In a remarkable revelation, one of Trump's co-defendants in the Georgie RICO case, Jenna Ellis, told prosecutors that Trump's close aid, Dan Scavino, said that Trump had decided he would not leave the presidency even though he lost the election.

Everyone loves the Hero who is attacked mercilessly by the bad guys, but keeps fighting for the people!

Most are rooting for Trump Skywalker to come out on top... and eradicate the bad guys in the end. (And many of us are going to help him!)

Biden, third term for Obama? How do you want to look at this, Sure he carried on with some of Obama's policies and sure he shoehorned his way into the cat seat as a follow up for Obama. But out and out third term as Trump has said he would negotiate for? Hardly. But that's only my objective observation as I did not care so much for Obama's terms nor now for Biden's . But you know that as I have spoken with you on that topic before.

Odd. Because this sounds like projection based on current actions and sentiment regarding the current guy in the White House....

What does this mean. Projecting what? Whose sentiment regarding Biden are you referring to. And what whose actions are you talking about. What do you find about that quote that so spurred you to consider it odd.

This is my take as well a take that has been seeming more and more inevitable to me for half of my life.

I agree about the pendulum as well. For sooooo long I have always heard that it always swings back, but my opinion is that it is broken and will never come back to the middle.

Brownie points for at least acknowledging it.

Entire reason for bringing it up if the obvious contrast in subjective reasoning going on while omitting objective facts.

From my perspective, it would appear that the D's are dumping Biden if not allowing for him to sunset, no pun intended...

Clearly the Democrat scramble is on. That, ah, what's her name now, ah, oh yeah, Harris, that Harris does not seem to be offering interviews on his stability or anything suggests to me that she is also on her way out.

Rational seems to be out the window at this point. Him becoming president means 4 years of revenge, 4 years of retribution. He wants to create a special task force within the DOJ to root out all the left wing "vermin", wants your help to do it. He wants to arrest any judges who ruled against him, jail any AG's and DA's who dared bring charges against him. Jail any witnesses who disparaged him at trials and silence all of his critics. These are his words, maybe not verbatim but doesn't really have to be.

Neighbors turning in neighbors, family turning in family, friends turning in friends.

How would this look?

Knock on the door
"We are with the MAGA enforcement team. You registered as a Democrat. Come with us voluntarily or we will use violence"

"Your neighbors called the hotline, said you had some unflattering words about our leader. We are taking you and your family to the re-education camps"

"Leader Trump has decided that any news outlets that are not vetted by the Agency will immediately cease operation, any reporters using anti-Trump rhetoric will be sent to the re-education centers."

Reading this thread, and many others, it seems like the right-leaning majority on ATS would be very happy with that outcome. If only to fulfill hate fueled dreams of a MAGA world. No Mexicans, no blacks, no Muslims, no gays, no drag queens, only MAGA. Oh, and no feelings or "feelz" either, except for hate and fear.

Yea, he lies. Yea, he is a braggart, a sh*t talker. Sure, he goes off the rails sometimes, likes to make fun of people. Maybe he lacks integrity, not honorable. BUT....he was, and is, a great leader and everyone he knows respects him for those traits. Plus he promised me a war against Democrats and Muslims and drag queens so he has my vote!

For me? I don't want a leader who whines all the time, has paper thin skin and everyone is out to get him. I don't want a leader who instead of attempting to bring folks together, prefers to have them divided and at war. I certainly don't want a leader who has so many enemies. Definitely don't want a leader so petty, that he spends 4 years making people pay.

No, not defending Joe here.

I predict he becomes one of our best Presidents.

All those things you say about him is true.

And still, he is 100 X’s better than Biden.
