Fellow ATS members I have changed my mind.

I thought Donald Trump blew it when Covid hit.

I was a big supporter until he had to get on TV selling his poison.

The Doctors should of been on TV. Not the President.

I was an early Trump supporter. Very early.

I felt he became too divisive.

Maybe somebody else could take the temperature down.

Well, nobody else has the stones needed to fix this.

At this point our government has failed.

At least Trump made me laugh.

Besides, nobody else makes the Dems nuts like Donald.

So that is my reason. I love what he does to them.

He makes them crazy. It’s very cheap entertainment.

So it’s Donald J. Trump in 2024...”Because I’m bored”...

I don't need to like him, only need his policies.

We need his policies back to survive as a nation.

Exploding heads would be a bonus.

He won't have time to fix the country with his revenge policies taking up all his time, but I'm sure I will get a lot of laughs from the liberals crying. And if Trump is not elected, I will still get a lot of laughs from the MAGA-crowd crying. It's a win-win.

No matter your side.

It is entertaining.

A lot will fix itself just with the clowns out.

We wouldn't be in this mess if the POTUS had even
been half there, which he is not. This time we are
in now is truly a clown show.

ETA: I take that back it is an insult to clowns.
Clowns would have done a much better job.

I've had the same response since 2015 when someone asks how I could support him:

He pisses off all of the right people. The swamp can't stand him.
That's all I need.

So it’s Donald J. Trump in 2024...”Because I’m bored”...

Honesty is a good policy.

Our society is an overly entertained society, it comes at us from all directions. Part of our problem is that to many do not know how to entertain themselves, they need others to do it for them. Engaging in a good work ethic diminishes the need for entertainment. Working at a job, working around the house, working to serve other people, all of these practices leave little room for the mindless pursuit of entertainment.

Entertaining ourselves is also a good practice. Hobbies that engage our minds and require a lot of thinking. Study also is a good practice as well as reading and engaging our minds. Yes, these are forms of entertainment but they are practices of self entertainment.

To much of our society depends on others entertaining us. If we have not learned how to entertain ourselves or how to keep about doing work, we get bored and turn to others to fill the void in our lives. TV, radio, internet, movies sitcoms dramas and on and on.

A big difference between entertaining ourselves and being entertained by others is often the cost. Entertaining ourselves can be done cheaply, or inexpensively. Being entertained by others is more expensive, and it comes with a hook. That hook is ''we will entertain you but you must buy our products so here is a jingle to entertain you while you think about our product. Here is a commercial with pretty people promising you you can be like them. A commercial with big time stars telling you you can be a friend to them if you buy their product. It's all entertainment when we cannot tell the difference between the entertainment and the commercials.

The EIC.

The ''Entertainment Industrial Complex'' is here to fill that void. And at the top of that complex is Donald Trump, always seeking the microphone, seeking the camera, seeking to be that celebrity star for America. If we are not sufficiently being entertained by the Joe Biden Show, then certainly switch the channel and watch the Donald Trump Show.

So, be entertained by the JBS or the DTS, just be ready to pay the price they demand.

Just a quick question if I may please, being a Brit and not knowing the nuances of American politics.
If DT does win in 2024, is he eligible to run for a second term or does his previous tenure mean he has already had one bowl at the wicket?

My reasoning for this is that all the people that are openly trying to kill our nation seem scared of him for some reason.

The truth unquestionably is, that the only path to a subversion of the republican system of the Country is, by flattering the prejudices of the people, and exciting their jealousies and apprehensions, to throw affairs into confusion, and bring on civil commotion. Tired at length of anarchy, or want of government, they may take shelter in the arms of monarchy for repose and security.

Those then, who resist a confirmation of public order, are the true Artificers of monarchy—not that this is the intention of the generality of them. Yet it would not be difficult to lay the finger upon some of their party who may justly be suspected. When a man unprincipled in private life desperate in his fortune, bold in his temper, possessed of considerable talents, having the advantage of military habits—despotic in his ordinary demeanour—known to have scoffed in private at the principles of liberty—when such a man is seen to mount the hobby horse of popularity—to join in the cry of danger to liberty—to take every opportunity of embarrassing the General Government & bringing it under suspicion—to flatter and fall in with all the non sense of the zealots of the day—It may justly be suspected that his object is to throw things into confusion that he may “ride the storm and direct the whirlwind…”
- Alexander Hamilton to George Washington, August 18, 1792

No Jane,

He is only eligible for one four year term.

Trump knows how to put on a show. He's like a modern-day PT Barnum, except instead of circuses, he gives us Twitter rants and nuclear threats. It's like a never-ending episode of The Apprentice and we're all just along for the ride.

at least he's not boring... #Trump2024 #MakeAmericaEntertainingAgain

By previous standards no, he will have had his two terms. But this is Donald Trump we are talking about. You can be sure that he will do everything he can to insure that he gets a third term. And while this would mean a dramatic alteration of the Constitution, well, he is Donald Trump.

And if he gets to old or tired, you can put a small bet on him making a move to have the position of President of the United States be an inherited office, you know, like the monarchy, so that he can hand the position off to his heir. And theirs, and theirs.

1. Desantis
2. Ramaswamy
3. Trump

My ideal pairing would be Desantis/Ramaswamy, since Owens hasn't applied, she has potential and will eventually arrive on gubernatorial ballots near 2030ish I'm pretty sure. It's a steady crawl from the state office to Congress, we'll be seeing more of her in the long run.

But I'm prepared to welcome any of the above three, in that order.

At least he made the list, compared with other republican hopefuls.

Utter fantasy.

You do know how difficult it is to amend the Constitution?
