Actually I did read years ago that when you are circumcised, the skin grows so thick that you become less likely to catch aids that way than someone who is uncircumcised... Its still MGM though

The January 6th “insurrection”.

Some of the 'craziest' conspiracy theories tend to be just silly, and devoid of logic.

My favorite really wild conspiracy is one of John Keel's episodic "high strangeness" stories.

Keel researched this weird phenomena extensively, and said it seemed to be related to the Men in Black, the 'MIB' that are often associated with UFO encounters, and especially UFO flaps.

According to Keel, these strange events took place over a roughly 10 to 12 year period, and spanned several US states. People would be at their homes when a knock would come to the door. Standing on the porch would be a man from the utility company. Or so it seemed.

Keel dubbed these strange gentleman the "phantom meter readers". They would descend to the homeowner's basement to read the meter (or so it seemed).

When they didn't come back upstairs, the homeowner would go downstairs to check. The *meter reader" would be gone.

There were dozens of bona fide reports of these guys. Law enforcement and utility company investigators spent quite a bit of time looking into it.

The craziest aspect of the story was that some of the basements these guys entered had absolutely no way out. Not a single window to crawl out of, much less a door!

Another one is that we are all living in a matrix-like reality and our consciousness is floating through space and time. I just can't get with this theory because consciousness needs to come from something because you can't get something from nothing.

It is not a conspiracy theory though. It happened. On live TV. Honestly though I can not define "insurrection" but what I saw was a bunch of people attacking our Capitol. You can call them "Patriots" if you want, But bottom line, they attacked the USA and should have been shot down like the scurvy dog that was.

Was also a resident or Ocean Beach, and made the news locally (before her death) for yelling at customers over covid, and using her pool cleaning business to berate people for wearing masks and pushing the covid narrative. She had a sign that got under people's skin and got some minor press.

Some might argue she was a very angry person that made her issues everybody else's and demanded you acknowledge her beliefs, with a self-fulfilling prophecy to boot.

Her brother also made the news later for doing angry things.

Which is really not the norm for OB, which is the default hippie LGBT-friendly Beach. The all are welcome beach. The anti PB beach. Even the Navy people are laid back. Also, surfers and bikers.

Newport Ave is awesome. If you've ever hung out in OB it has a small beach town vibe with its open local culture. Winston's for Deadheads, Sunshine Co. for the traditional, Pac Shores for cheap asses that like dive bars.
