The majority sits completely empty-handed with no evidence of any presidential wrongdoing, no smoking gun. So we've established that a smoking gun is dirty money coming from overseas into Biden's bank account. Well, look what we have here.

That's a check made out to Joe Biden for $40,000. His brother's wife wrote him the check. But where'd the money come from? James Comer found out.

So far we have 240,000 in two checks to Joe Biden from his brother and sister-in-law. Both checks say they are loan repayments. That's totally possible. Maybe Joe's brother is really bad with money and needs help now and then. Maybe he's on crack too and hunter didn't have any, so he had to borrow some. We really don't know, and to be honest, it really doesn't matter. What does matter is that bank records exist to show the money coming out of Joe's account to go to his brother and sister-in-law to begin with. Some have stated there needs to be terms of the loan and all that, but when dealing with family, I can see that not really being a thing.

But the money trail has to exist. If it doesn't, and Jamie Raskins is lying to cover for Joe Biden, who's lying, then we have a situation. The trouble is, we have heard crickets thus far. If there is a money trail to be shown, I would think team Biden would want to get the proof out in the public eye as quick as possible.

But the way, as Jessie noted in the video clip linked, the $40k is 10% of the $400k Hunter's business got. 10%.....for the big guy.

Many families do have papers defining family loan agreements. My family does. If it's a significant amount of money and one of my kids needs a loan, there is paper. I owe that to my estate and my other relatives. If there isn't papers, and someone suddenly dies, this can be a big mess later.

It's so clearly influence peddling.

Lets get on with it and give them a chance to produce their exculpatory evidence, such as a loan agreement, even an informal one.

You can't say - I think you stole something and I want you to prove you didn't. You have to find evidence first, then you accuse people, then you use evidence you found to charge them and then they have to prove they are innocent despite your evidence.

Even text messages. Anything proving a loan. Surely there's text, somewhere proving negotiation or convo about money.

I can see why you would think that, but it is 100% not the same.

One is charged with loads of evidence and it seems all those cases have enough evidence to make it to trial. None have been dismissed despite numerous requests from the defense.

There's been zero evidence in the Comer investigation, not even enough to warrant submitting actual subpoenas. They didn't authorize this investigation with votes to have actual investigative powers, because most Republicans think there is nothing there, not enough to authorize it at least.

So the 40k was in 2017, but the Bidens are believed to have grubbed up 20 million through 2015, in the VP years.

And even then, Comer has nothing to go on. It's an embarrassment for the rest of the GOP.

He has a personal check from before the presidency that is written from a family member to a family member, that says Loan Repayment on it. That's all he's got. He THINKS that this could be something nefarious but he has nothing to link it to, BUT he wants Biden to link it for him and prove that he's a cheat himself.

Shaking my head. This is worse than embarrassing.

Even if this was a legit investigation and he could subpoena the Bidens or anyone else, what court would even approve a subpoena on a sitting president with zero evidence behind it and just 'i think this could be linked to this but I don't know yet.'

It's lazy, it's crazy and it's awkward for Comer.

Jamie Raskin making side excuses and red herrings usually means something is being covered up and he has been assigned to point people in opposite directions.

If and when The Bidens discover a set of papers proving a loan existed, the authorities need to check the ink and paper for backdating forgery
