"If".

Do you know what intelligence they might have had and when they got it?

"If the fence was secured that would have never happened. Once the fence is secured Hamas can do nothing and Israel will have no excuse bombing innocent civilians. Hamas has very limited power regardless of their ideology. They can do nothing much if the fence is secured."

Apart from launching thousands of rockets and missiles at Israeli civilians?

You good with that?

How about if Hamas were to stop doing that.

Might be a start. No?

I find this interesting…

Benjamin Netanyahu remains dead set against even a temporary truce. “For us it would mean leaving this wound open for future generations,” the President tells me. “Maybe it will calm some people down inside our country, and outside, at least those who want to wrap things up at any price. But for me, that’s a problem, because we are left with this explosive force. We only delay its detonation.

Oh wait! That was Zelenskyy!

Do you condemn the Israeli Politicians who have used this genocidal rhetoric?

What about Netanyahou who has appealed to the old testament to argue for the destruction of the enemy.

You seem a bit reluctant when it comes to one side.

What Netanyahou did was outrageous. He appealed to the old testament for bringing destruction to the enemy. Genocidal rhetoric just like the politician discussed in this thread.

He'll consider one if the hostages are released:

Just off the top of my head from previously reading an article which I did not post; that Israel was aware of Hamas military activities rising near the border. Same when Russia's military activities started rising near the Ukraine border and nobody thought anything of it. Remember that?

Hey Carp,

My vague point was that some people see something like that acceptable if Zelenskyy says it but genocidal if BB does.

Have you noticed how splintered and fractured many people’s opinions are in a variety of issues at the moment?

Quite intriguing. A non-vaccinated telegram channel that I visit is exploding apart because of the various opinions on the Ukraine and the Israeli things.

We even see it here on ATS.

I have answered that question many times now.

Yes, I do. And have made that plain to you. Many times over now.

Reluctant?

Hardly. Why do you have to lie about this?

I won't repeat myself again.

I respectfully suggest you stop repeating yourself when you have already had my unequivocal answer.

Main topic at the table is the Middle East of course.

Do your friends condemn both sides for the crimes they have committed or is it only one side that is blamed?

And if you are from England there seems to be a lot of support for ceasefire and peace.

No. You need to take a look at what I said.

Iam not blaming Israelis for what Hamas did on the 7th of October. I am blaming Israeli Security Officials for their inability and incompetence to secure their border that has never been penetrated this way before as far as I know.

Security and Military officials have a responsibility for protecting the border. They failed. They should have had resigned long time ago. After the war finishes they could be indicted the State of Israel.

Still not a good argument.
Nobody has blamed ordinary people or Israel for what Hamas did on the 7th of October. (That war the initial claim)

Blaming Israeli Security Officials for failing to perform their duties is another completely different matter.

Whatever Israel is going to do they should not expect any help from the United States.

We have infused them with talent money weapons manpower and knowledge for 30 years.
