A good question posed by the other member. Of course is straight forward, do you condemn the killings of thousands of innocent civilians by the Israeli Army. I don't think I has asked you before because most of the time here you spent it apologising on behalf of Israel...

not talking to me but i gotta ask, why condemn israel for killing civilians in the process of attacking hamas? hamas attacked so they've been attacked in return, perfectly legal. how about you condemn hamas for using civilians and civilian structures as human shields, maybe if they didn't do that then less civilians would be dying to airstrikes and artillery and such.

I answered the UN has condemned both atrocities by Hamas and Israel. I didn't try to dodge the question. I didn't realise it said the council. As far as I know several member states have condemned the Hamas attacks.

You still aren't answering the question. He didn't ask about the UN. He didn't ask about 'member states'. He didn't ask about the 'Security Counci'l. HE ASKED THIS SIMPLE QUESTION - Did that same counsel condemn Hamas for their crimes as well? Or is that "justified" by their non-comments?

Answer the question. Did that SAME COUNCIL THAT YOU QUOTE IN THE OP condemn Hamas for their crimes as well?

They stayed up until freak'n ONE OCLOCK IN THE MORNING to come up with their drivel about Israel ethnically cleansing. Did they find the time to also condemn Hamas for their terrorist attack on Israel. YES OR NO??? You said to go read their statement but there is nothing in the Opening Post from the council about the Hamas terrorist attack. So answer the question.

If you don't know then just say that you don't know. It is much more dignified then the two pages of dodging and lying that you have been doing.

I didn't realise you were talking about Richmond City Council. I thought you said the Security Council which I found odd that's why I replied about UN because I don't see much announcements coming from the Security Council.

I will have a look and reply.

What's that supposed to mean?

The question again

Out of curiosity, do you condemn the atrocities in Gaza and the slaughtering of thousands of innocent civilians just as Richmond City did and many others around the world.

To me, it's the equivalent of a small radical parish council in the UK, making a big loud statement that has no relation to their council responsibilities...and if I was a tax payer there, I would be pissed off if they claimed expenses and/or wages, debating on international matters until 1am.
...fix potholes in roads, and collect waste etc, do 'bitching about world events' on your own citizen time!

And the same question to you.

Do you condemn the killings of thousands of innocent Palestinians by the Israeli Army?

My position is clear on this one.

War crimes cannot be answered with war crimes. So any crimes against civilians are always condemned.

some time ago I asked one of my best pals who is Jewish (lefty as well, but not nutty lefty, he still communicates with people he disagrees with) why his peops seemed to be in league with people that secretly hate them? He was all, "what do you mean?" So I told him of my life long interactions with black Americans and lefty's and that in secret many of them hated Jews and moreso the idea of Israel. He refused to believe me. I called him yesterday. He is a believer now. As a matter of fact he is almost depressed about it.

You cannot co-opt marxist. Their goal is to always kill you and take over. Period.

I very much agree, just like every sane person, and have argued in favour of ceasefire and peace and I condemn all the killings of thousands of innocent civilians on both sides

I think they are virtue signaling Bay Area Californians. Next up Berkeley, then Oakland, then San Fransisco, and so on.

What-freaking-ever.

I want everyone holding this position to retroactively condemn the USA for full scale retaliation for 9/11, Russia for depleting their military for a Ukraine anti-NATO buffer zone, and everyone else who disproportionately responded to threat (or embellished threat) throughout History. And call every instance of that a war crime.

I personally believe it's that it's Israel doing it that people give a sh*t. The ever-prezent double standard to hold Israel to higher standard because they don't like them and want an excuse.

No freaking rhetorical argument will convince me otherwise. I give Israel the same leeway to go to war I give my own country.

Aquino's world of Mind War is still far off over a distant horizon and moving beyond this planet.

I'm more than willing to call the US out for comitting war crimes in the name of their War on Terror. I'm perfectly fine calling out Russia for the war crimes they're committing in Ukraine. And I hear no problem saying that both Israel and Hamas are currently perpetrating war crimes.

You gotta appreciate the history being made here by progressives. Just look how much they fookd up the world in what, ~3 years?? !!CONGRATULATIONS!! Over the course of every fookd up policy initiated, they projected the blame on conservatives for either having done it first, or they accused others for what they were already doing while they were doing it!

This new normal, this cultural revolution, this fourth turning, etc, doesn't land squarely on the left, but they are DEFINITELY spearheading the effort. The "scratch your head" support they receive is only peculiar to those still operating under the old normal. Our kids don't even give a snip, mostly, about anything, even though you couldn't hold them down with a carrier anchor during college as they wanted to burn the earth down, now you can't get them to take out the trash or clean the kitchen, or have a decent conversation. Why are they back home anyway ?? Here's a few delightful factors that may have contributed to that:

Economy destroyed

Health destroyed

Family destroyed

Friends destroyed

Lives destroyed

Education destroyed

Supplies/logistics destroyed

Energy sector destroyed

Law and order destroyed

Sovereignty destroyed

Commercial real estate destroyed

Small businesses destroyed

Military destroyed

Travel and tourism destroyed

National security destroyed

Identity destroyed

Patriotism destroyed

Accountability destroyed

If people knew just how vulnerable we are right now, nobody would sleep a wink. You couldn't!

Instead, something inevitable happens that will astonishingly shock people like, "How could this happen?" Really???

People CRIED OUT to the heavens to end policing nationwide and look what happened? Now they want more police! People CRIED OUT to the heavens, "People have a right to exist and have freedom of movement..." And guess what? The consequences of that BS will have to be EXPERIENCED too just like defunding the police in order for these complete morons to understand why we have fkn borders and countries and distinct cultures AND A PROCESS TO SCREEN PEOPLE FOR NATIONAL SECURITY CONCERNS.

The EXPERIENCE(S) is/are coming, and then they can do a 180° like always when these policies go to snip, but the blood, violence and horror will have to occur first. That's what it takes for utter morons.

Prepare thyself. We have to endure the fallout of intellectual diversity.

I'm sick of the war crime v. war crime mantra.

I see terrorost attack v. full military retaliation. Nothing more. I see a far less deadly 911/Afghanistan, Iraq. I supported both those wars too. Hypocrisy would be holding a different standard because it's Israel.

I see they are up over 8000 civilian Gaza deaths. But why should I have to focus on THAT tally as a rallying cry for peace. Because it's Israel doing it?

Yeah, we're all one interconnected web of consciousness and biological life... that is really good at killing each other over beliefs and territory. One love stuff is not beating this.

Call it apathetic realism...

I can agree with the song completely, and still see all this peace pandering over this specific conflict as an unrealistic pipe dream and made more dramatic because it's Israel doing it. Right now the call to peace is used as a weapon against Israel, haven't seen that before. We're not beyond this yet.

Maybe one day, there can be peace. But for now, I give Israel total support to hunt down every enemy they see fit.

Yes, it's a serious development given that until now we have had a range of arguments about the nature of this conflict and how Israel isn't committing war crimes or that there are not many who ask for ceasefire given the atrocities committed on both sides.

Well, a US city has gone against the US Government and openly condemned the war crimes committed by Israel.

Don't worry but get used to it.

War crimes committed by Hamas have been answered with car crimes committed by Israel.

It describes the situation the best possible way and there are many around see reality as it is. Especially when someone isn't an Arab or a Jew.

I don't want to go off topic but you said you supported both of these two wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

It is true that these wars made the world much safer....

War crimes by Israel were made inevitable by how Hamas fights. Let's just always overlook that though.

Hamas are a bunch of angry piss-ants that attack kids on molly and then go hide among the elderly, kittens, and mentally disabled children.

If I'm falling out of sync with the"new wave of unity and peace" over not condemning what Israel does as war crimes, please outcast me immediately.

Better send Arabs with a van and duct tape to abduct and force Stockholm Syndrome like I'm Patricia Hearst and they are the Symbionese Liberation Army.

I'll ask you a question I've posed to a few other users.

If Israel has intel that a single member of Hamas is hiding out in a church being used by dozens of Pslestinians for shelter, would you approve of Israel leveling the church and killing everyone inside?
