*places tin foil hat on* I think at least one of the sites mods or admin has a sock puppet account they use to troll. Cant prove it but several members have pondered it before. I've seen several users, one in particular, who used to sit on a fence, that talks to people like he's never been punched in the mouth for disrespecting someone before. I've seen others use the same language and get the ban hammer immediately. Its really bizarre.

Sometimes I have to remind myself that even though things seem anonymous, they really aren’t.
Always remind yourself how would you feel if your neighbors, friends or family read what you are writing?

PS.. long ago when I worked in tech one of the ways my coworkers and I relaxed during lunch was to read
“Private” messages from office workers to other office workers. It was shocking how many people were having affairs and the crap they would type on corporate devices!

Just wondering if they have indeed been made aware of the hack.

And creating a thread so as to shed some light on the possible reason and ramifications as/or if the information becomes available.

Hopefully, the situation can somehow be rectified and the corrupted information retrieved or restored.

Last time it turned out to be something as simple as nonpayment of credit card dues.

But this is somewhat different.

Sites either been hacked or some other software/code malfunction has led to the corruption of account data.

Need to go out for a spell now, hopefully when i check back later further information has materialised.

Did you hear about it? The Kwik Trip rewards and cards were down for like a week.
I went in there and they said it was still down, and I said “cyber attack” and the workers all got scared and asked if
I was with corporate…… I just chuckled and got my Dr. Pepper and muffin and walked out.

I have no clue why they were trying to keep it a secret!

I usually go to the likes of Updownradar. to check.

But this is an error/hack as opposed to the site being DDoSed or down for maintenance.

There was another ATS like site that started being used last time she went down, lots of us joined but i cant quite remember the name.

Was not moded correctly through and just was not up to ATS standards imho.

Handy all the same, sure someone will point out the name.

I did not really ever think that it was.

There is no real true anonymity in this day of age.

Where there is a will there is a way and anyone with the correct skillset can pretty much fling privacy out the window if we are honest.

There is newly developed EMF shielding fabric that works much better than tin foil. Do it right!

I've notice those inconsistencies too, so that tells us the T&Cs are or are not being followed upon whims of those that hold the ban hammer power? Nothing new since forums began.

I actually thought he was at times amusing. Every time outrage ensued after one of his comments, I reminded myself this was a guy who witnessed the surrender of the Empire of Japan. He (and the Queen) were truly of a different era.

The dude was bloody hilarious in a sort of really posh Alf Garnett-type manner.

I think a lot of people were sad when the queen went, including myself, and I'm not exactly fond of the monarchy.

Different era indeed, and they have indeed seen a lot of history.
