I still miss my original account(s) but we adapt

I think (hope) most of the real members who contribute are here for the information and discussion and not the account.

I think this will be overcome, providing there isnt some over arching reasoning behind it.
It does bring up some questions though, like in the future are we going to be able to retain our anonymous nature or are we going to have to provide personal information for signing up?

Well, whoever hacked the site probably now has all our email accounts at the very least.

Same with the email accounts we all used to sign up today if they still have access to the site i suppose.

As to anonymity, well i have had the odd crack pop theten to send the shadow people after me on occasion and another fellow freak out because i refused to meet face to face that claimed to track me down to a service station in Ayr.

Its all sport to me but anonymity is probably best considering the things we discuss.

I don't think it was a hack at all. The owner was online yesterday. They may have made some changes and knocked some stuff loose and things went flaky as hell.

Right up my film noir alley. I'm going with Boddy Black Jr. (Darko) in the Boden Black Hotel looking over the platform's T&Cs when a COPPA representative registered in the hotel under an anonymous name, but was caught on surveillance video and identified.

I had loads of pictures of the likes of my dogs that were uploaded to ATS, and memes like yourself.

Kind of used it as a repository of sorts.

And i got hit with ransomware a while back that took out a lot of the stuff i had uploaded that was on my drives.

Might all be gone now.

I imagine a lot of other people are in a similar boat.

I think that's the most likely case too.

I'm somehwat surprised more members aren't mad, or making a fuss, about losing their accounts they have had for a decade or more. Also surprising there isn't much information on what has actually happened.
