Who Is In Charge of ATS And Why Were We Hacked?

No bother.

It's a sh@t show ArMaP2.

Whether or not we have been hacked or it's a software/code glitch, or malfunction, remains to be determined.

I've not seen any post-removals either.

Hopefully someone, somewhere, is endeavoring to rectify the problem.

But the lack of any sort of formal communication or statement, either here at ATS, or on another site, does not bode well by my guess.

What posts/pages 0991yar have you seen removed?

I've seen a few post-bans.

But taking a look at some of the content that should have been taken down the moment it was put up, for instance the horrendous threads of which there are many, aimed towards the likes of DCowboy

I don't think anybody is actively removing threads that go against the TnC.

Or if they are im not seeing it.

I've seen chats involving the major admin and those in the know and the general word is that no one has any access and the owners have not been heard from in months and won't reply to any messages.

My best guess is that st they messed it all up and just wrote the whole thing off.

I won't be surprised if the site goes down when the payment bounces at the end of the billing cycle.

That sounds about right given the lack of communication.

Still hope everything returns to normal through.

But as time progresses one has to wonder if that's simply wishful thinking as opposed to anything meaningful being revealed or the situation resolved.

Given that the last time was over the bill payment, that might be the simple truth. The mods didn't know what was going on either back then.

It's my opinion that the owners have just given up and don't care.

Given that in the past 7 days 208 new accounts have been made and that's including everyone that's had to make a new account I think ats is actually a dead format.

Everything now is Facebook and twitter or discord based and the age of I dependant web based groups is dead and has been for some time.

My woodworking group has more interaction and posts than ats and it's a pretty niche thing on Facebook.

There can't be any money on it now.

Another theory I have is that before the 'reset'? interaction and/or traffic to this site was very low and the content was let's say less than desirable to anyone looking for real discussion and/or debate. As well, the subject matter was of a pick your topic and let the bashing begin nature, which would drive away most people not driven by hate or bias.

Is this all about this business failing? It may very well be the case.

If it was me I'd have tried to slowly migrate the whole thing over to some established social media platforms over time and then archive this place.

As I said no one uses standalone platforms any more really do they.

The only thing worth sellingor owning is the domain abovetopsecret.com

Thatdomain will be worth a lot of money i think.

other than that this spot has well passed its sell by date years ago.

It's a bit specific and had a long history of whack jobs and negative press.

Two serial killers used to be members if I recall correctly.

All being on the Titanic (same boat) at the same time didn't make it a good thing lol. You'd think they'd have a daily backup of the system, right? Seems pretty strange there's no movement. Maybe the system has been taken over by weetods, wiberaws, the-woke-joke and other mentally deficient biden supporters?

I don't know enough about networks to definitely say one way or the other but i imagine the likes of backups and shadow copies exist on another server.

The problem is that our password and email have been replaced by our username which apparently is presenting problems data retrieval-wise.

You would think it should be as easy as simply restoring the site to a previous date but apparently its a tad more complex than that or it would have been remedied by now.

That or the owners are complicit in the act which i somehow find hard to believe if indeed they are still paying for the site and wish ATS to remain operational.

If the owner was aware and cared do you really think it would have gone this long without an actual update or even a hello from them though?
