as topics go its pretty obviously about us politics nothing more or less

in actual terms the world is being evangelised but not by Americans, as evangelicals are the fasting growing group expected to top 1.3bn by 2050 in Africa, most of whom will be Anglicans, even rc countries like France are being evangelised as atheism is diminishing for the first time since the 1970s..

unless the world is turned upside down most Nigerians are not that keen on us politics.. the ones i know are your trad Christians and as a group they are not the normal BDMs, the is only go for births deaths marriages but are actual church regulars..

some interesting rifts between the coe and the winder Anglicans communion over these issues particularly the COE trying top square 1 man/1 woman marriage with equal same sex marriage.. no wonder they embrace trans/self id as they can keep their 1 man 1 woman marriage.. but the Christian global south are having none of it.

I totally hear you. It's just baffling how some folks who claim to follow Christ's teachings can support leaders like Trump, whose actions often seem completely contrary to the principles of love, tolerance, and understanding.

And yeah, you're absolutely right about the whole mix of religion and politics in the U.S. It's like some leaders have forgotten the idea of the separation of church and state. Trump's time in office, no matter which side of the political spectrum you're on, seemed to heighten these divisions rather than bridge them. I think a lot of people, myself included, don't believe his impact on the U.S. was a positive one.

It's just a reminder of how crucial it is to be mindful of who we choose as our leaders and what values they stand for. We need leaders who promote unity, not division.
