WASHINGTON – House Republican investigators took a significant step in their impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden on Wednesday, announcing it was issuing subpoenas to the president’s close family and their business associates.

Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., chair of the House Oversight Committee, announced his committee would be sending subpoenas to Hunter Biden, the president’s son, and James Biden, the president’s brother.

The committee also will subpoena Rob Walker, a close business associate to Hunter Biden.

"The House Oversight Committee has followed the money and built a record of evidence revealing how Joe Biden knew, was involved, and benefitted from his family's influence peddling schemes. Now the House Oversight Committee is going to bring in members of the Biden family and their associates to question them on this record of evidence," Comer said in a statement.

I don't know where you get that idea? A boat load of subpoenas were sent out this week to Biden family members and a couple of Biden business associates.

If nothing illegal is found, the impeachment inquiry will end with no further action.

But you'll still have the Federal Law violations Joe Biden committed by stealing highly classified materials over a 12 year period. Special Counsel Robert Hur is determining what charges will be brought.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) wrote in the letters that they "are particularly concerned about President Biden’s mishandling of classified information given the Oversight Committee’s discoveries that the Biden family received millions of dollars from foreign sources for unknown services."

Remus, in particular, handled boxes of Joe Biden's containing documents with classified markings last year, and she has not complied with prior requests that she meet with Congress voluntarily, the chairmen stated.

Neither Remus's attorney Peter Koski nor the White House responded to a request for comment.

The chairmen's demands come as the Department of Justice continues its own investigation into whether Joe Biden mishandled classified documents while he was vice president and senator.
