There is a fine line to walk though.
I have friends with very young teens and some of the things they see online does need to be monitored at the very least, from sexual predators to how to self harm videos....
When I was a kid the only thing my parents had to worry about, was me finding a chewed up porn mag (pages always seemed to end up in the park?)

A lot of people go on and on about the MSM and fake news but choose to ignore the fact that most of the internet news is purely there for clicks and monetization and is no different from the MSM.

Telling other posters to "stop" etc is not pro free speech

The war on information will not work just like the war on drugs did not stop drug use.

What it does is allows government control and the creation of underground systems.

You were saying about free speech and censoring others?

Because he's not really listening, we are pro free speech , tell me what is wrong with that?

This arguement has been around for years, and I imagine will continue to do so.
If you support total free speech then you support a pedo talking online about molesting young children.
Shouldn't there be a line drawn somewhere? Who draws that line? Those are the difficult discussions that need to happen.

alldaylong is pro banning free speech, how is that a good thing ? He just won't listen to reason, he's clearly brainwashed.
Muldar was trying to reason with him, but it failed . And having the option to say 'stop' to someone is Muldar expressing his free speech

How is simply free speech 'far-right' ? In case you didn't know Nazis were socialists , so far-left, and they did not approve of free speech because it would expose their true agenda . Truth speakers during WW2 would help and protect Jews and they would have to go underground and use secret codes to spreak. You still support banning free speech?

Perfect example. Free speech is neutral - it's neither right or left.

It is your responsiblity ,as a parent, to protect your child from harmful online content. You can't expect sites to be blocked/banned , or for free speech to be banned, because 'potentially' someone could say something bad to your child.

Once again Brand has always been a liberal.

Is Brand taking a page out of The Daily Mail, or is he simply catering to YouTube’s almighty, unknowable algorithm? Possibly the latter; Brand’s political position (if he even has one at all), was always milquetoast liberalism with vague anti-establishment posturing, combined with a willingness to hear from all sides of the political spectrum, no matter how odious.

forbes

A liberal capable of seeing the actual truth of our world.

A rarity and worth a listen IMO

So you become the controller of free speech. Should you watch all content that your child sees? Should your ISP protect your children and thus control free speech?

Like I said, Brand will follow which ever way the money takes him, don't forget he also famously said he doesn't vote.

Oh it's the old if you don't support us then you are a child molester agrument?

That one cuts both ways

Lets try it this way

IF YOU SUPPORT THE BAN ON FREE SPEECH, YOU ARE SUPPORTING THE SILENCING OF PEOPLE WHO WANT TO BAN CHILD MOLESTERS

So, if you are for this ban you are silencing people who want to protect children!

I do support Pedos talking on line giving themselves away.
What's wrong with that? In fact we should hope they're that stupid.

Don't know why the capitals but any who...
That arguement doesn't work.
Banning people talking about the acts they want to perform on young children isn't the same, and is nothing like the subject you've claimed is the same.

And we've all heard yours? So what? This is an internet "chat room" so to speak, is it not?
You wouldn't be trying to shut me down because you disagree with my opinion would you? Sounds a lot like banning my free speech?

Trying to shut down childrens access to the sites that are showing child images is one thing. Hunting down and catching the people talking about the subject on something like the darknet is another..

Milked for hyperbole much. Did you spend anytime listening to what Brand had to say?

We all know this has nothing to do with protecting children. This card has been played and didn't win.

If they wanted to protect children them they would have banned the transgender propaganda and indoctrination in schools and offline, the pride events, and the woke nonsense online and offline. And information relating to gender affirming care and butchering of genitalia.

I'm in the UK and had the herion, alcohol and sex additct Brand's comedy and anarchist views shoved down my throat for the last few years and I've watch enough of his videos to know someone playing the crowd for likes (££££)
And I think the hyperbole is all yours
