Liberal Logic That Just Makes You Shake Your Head In Reply

Recently I have been having conversations with my liberal friends and liberal people here on ATS about how they are now using what we have been saying for years now as some form of their own logic as to what "double standards" is to them as they suggest the Right is pushing it and that makes zero sense to me.

The first one is how they are saying and have been saying for 6+ years now how Trump has a degenerative brain disorder, throwing the 25th Amendment around weekly. They look for any gaffe he might make and say SEE! This is just a head shake for me because when I say that Biden can't even complete a coherent sentence and then needs guidance off the stage they look at me like it is the first time hearing that and completely disregard it as a point. Trump can speak for hours to mass audiences without notes and be very coherent, but Biden can't even get through one sentence that is planned, written down, and rehearsed. We can go to Congress and see the same thing across many on both sides of the aisle, but boy the left sure has a big pool of them. They can say look at Mitch and we all agree he got to go, but how about a list of 10+ liberals that have the same issues and it turns into a what are you talking about attitude.

The next one is the Left is now screaming "double Standards" in the court system, holy crap...lol

Their proof is Hunter Biden, and their logic is that there are 420 million guns in America so going after Hunter for breaking gun laws is a double standard because they are not arresting millions of others who may have used drugs too and also own guns. This is like a forehead slap as I suggest that Hunter lied on his gun application and got caught. I call it breaking more of an "I'm stupid" law, and others who do the same also get charged, so what is new or a double standard? The liberals want to defend Hunter tooth and nail and it just doesn't make sense other than they are trying to suggest he is pure as fresh snow to also point out there is nothing going on with the Big Guy either.

If I suggest that millions get away with shoplifting in the billions as we see stores closing all over due to losing their insurance, and say things like BLM rioted, burned, robbed, and killed people while being OK to not wear a mask like everyone else was all ignored by the left was all not a double standard to them, but Hunter is...

And yet the facts show that it's a very seldom used law.

That's why they say if it weren't for double standards, liberals would have none...

We are now living in a post-convictions society.

The "double" standards exist on all sides and all sides cry about it while simultaneously engaging in it.

Our politicians make contradictory statements as they become implicated in controversies they previously decried; And their followers change their opinions on a dime based on the circumstances their leaders find themselves in.

Even here in ATS we see people regularly flip flopping as if they were at the beach. Take for example the impeachment preceding between Joe Biden and Donald Trump; the more liberal members are now making the same arguments the more conservative members made years ago and vice versa.

Personal convictions are now a thing of the past; replaced by tribalisum. "The Tribe can do no wrong" is the only thing that matters now.

You don't understand Xtro. In the Marxist mind, the end justifies the means.

Trashing the constitution.
The end of free speech.
The end of the right to defend yourself.
Killing millions of babies (mostly minority) up to birth.
Privileged classes of people, as long as they aren't white or Asian and "cis".
The normalization of grooming and sexualizing, as well as mutilating children.
Literally criminalizing anyone who disagrees with the narrative.
Persecution and prosecution of your political opponents.
The list is nearly endless, BUT...

It's all okay because the end result is UTOPIA. The destruction and bodies left in their wake is a small price to pay for the promised utopian civilization.

I do agree that Hunter has done much worse things than this, but this is a crime, and he did do it. Are you against this law? If so, what have you done to lobby for it's removal? Please give us a few examples.

Then we have the "Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act" being used against Trump and even all his lawyers..lol How about Proud Boys leader getting 21 years for sitting in a hotel room? Proud Boys are actually from the town I was living in and they were more of an ANTI ANTIFA movement that wasn't far-right based. They never rioted and would meet ANTIFA head to head in ANTIFA riots that Portland allowed. They only used force when ANTIFA used it and they would of course win. Portland actually banned the Proud Boys while ignoring ABTIFA saying it was nothing...lol How about Matt Gate as they try to put him up on charges first created to keep Black men away from White women, talk about obscured...

The thing with Hunter like many people in the limelight they are more noticed and are held accountable for things other average people get away with being lost in the crowd. For example, If you got into a fight in a bar 99% of the time nothing would come of it if people didn't get seriously hurt, now take a celebrity that remotely touches someone it would go to court in a second. How many people have videos of them smoking crack on the internet and then lying on their gun application, throwing the gun in a trashcan across from a high school, then telling police they went back to get it and now it is lost and so the police are concerned it will be used in a crime.... That all is not lost in the crowd event that the Right just happened to dig up and attack him with.

All this is not just keeping something secret off a gun app...lol geez, but thank you for allowing me to show what my OP is about.
