I believe he was clearly used as a shill for the Labour party in - I think - the 2015 general elections. He appeared on BBC's Question Time twice, unusually close together for a non-political guest. The first time he was his typical self, which seemed inappropriate for the show, but the second time he had an all new serious act, which seemed rather odd by his standards. He was making blanket dismissals of all political parties until a few days before the vote and then suddenly encouraged everyone to vote Labour.

I've not come across any material on his channel that can't be found elsewhere and while it's well put together, it all seems ultimately a little low level. I doubt he's converting many to the world of 'conspiracy theories', but maybe he is providing a point of congregation for some existing 'truthers'.

We could speculate about the reason for this turn of events, but the photo of him with Harari seems like clear evidence that he isn't what he seems.
