If proven innocent you think he will be washed clean in the court of public opinion? Instead of debating his rhetoric it will be reduced to moral arguments against his character. No i dont, it would be silly to assume claims like that could wash off so easily, and to make such a claim would be a lie.

Dont mean he doesn't deserve what he has coming if found to be guilty.

On the flip side of that, i think some of his supporters might not care if there is merit to the allegations.

Either way let justice be done, in the real courts as opposed to mere opinion galleries and social media.

As someone who doesn’t like nor trust the man that won’t be me. However, I find the timing of this very convenient. My dislike for someone doesn’t interfere with my logic.

As I said, these alleged crimes would be buried if he was on the “right” side of the political narrative.

Yeah, again there is no statute of limitations here in the UK where serious sex offenses are concerned that is just a fact you will need to swallow.

A beast is a beast, and should never be forgiven and always prosecuted to the full extent of the law no matter how much time has passed by my guess, and by our courts.

And if it turns out to be the case that Brand ticks that box he deserves all he has coming to him.

If innocent then I feel sorry for his plight.

However, if you take on one of the most powerful industries in the world you can expect a backlash. This was inevitable, clearly a dossier with his name made it onto a desk which matters and this is the result.

If he's guilty i hope he is prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

If he's innocent i hope those who made false allegations are also prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Because making claims of rape that are untrue, is just about as bad as the act of depravity itself.

If he's innocent then i hope the man is exonerated which would only add to his credibility if you think about it.

Anyhoo back to my immediate dilemma.

They weren’t paid? Many an envelope have slipped under a table my old foe. Especially when the targets are making enemies with the most powerful members of our society.

If an ex lover claims rape and abuse 10 years after the relationship ends I think it’s a fair characterisation call them scorned. The lover part isn’t in debate.

I don’t know the objectives of these woman, only that I find the timing of the accusations and investigations convenient to those making them.

As someone who’s called him out many times on this forum as a charlatan, I doubt you’ll find me defending him.

I’ll leave that to the courts, if it even makes it that far.

Maybe he can take the prince Andrew route and pay off victims of child sex trafficking after making fantastical claims denying involvement. “I don’t sweat”.

It's horrible we can't simply believe people who come forward. Part of the problem is false allegations are not considered true crimes and they should be.

Just one more suspicious convenience no one notices. If false allogations were
prosecuted the law would be far less easily abused. That's one toy we the people
should take away citing the possibility of abuse. In fact it's pretty stupid to let
such holes in our justice system exist. It's not like there isn't anyone legally
smart enough to see this either so WTF?

The news today is the Met police are in talks with channel 4 about the details,and they want to contact the women in the program to make them aware of how to press charges if they want to.

And they are telling other women to come forward if they have been assaulted-some other celebs are saying dodgy things about him today in the press as well.
