Looks like it has finally happened for the son of the President. He was formally charged in Delaware.

Two counts are tied to Biden allegedly filing a form claiming that he was not using illegal drugs at the time he purchased a Colt Cobra revolver in October 2018. The third count alleges that he possessed a firearm while using a narcotic.

Not sure if this has ever happened to a POTUS while in office but a disgrace. We are the laughing stock of the world right now.

The historic indictment against the son of a sitting president comes after a plea deal that might have ended a years-long probe into Hunter Biden fell apart and just as House Republicans have launched an impeachment inquiry in an effort to seek bank records and other documents from the president and his son.

How long till the media states this is because the Special Counsel was appointed by Mr Trump as well as the judge. This was 5 years in the making.

Smoke and mirrors.

The government signed the diversion agreement on the gun charges.

Weiss is only bringing these charges because he knows they will be thrown out.

Weiss is continuing his pattern of protecting the Bidens. This has the added advantage of giving the false appearance that they're seriously pursuing justice.

Also, just to remind everyone, the "he was appointed by Trump" point is misleading. Trump did not personally know or pick Weiss. Weiss was picked by 2 Democrat senators from Delaware. That dishonest, meaningless talking point will be brought up repeatedly here.

Stand by for the deflection about Jared and Ivanka, Trump Jr, Eric and Barron.

The Left hates them all and everyone else including themselves.

David Weiss said the diversion agreement was never approved by a probation officer and is not binding.

Of course he'd say that. He needs to give the appearance that he's seriously trying to go after Hunter.

He's not. He knows these charges will get thrown out.

Out of all the crimes this little twat has committed, this is the best they could come up with?

How do they prove he was on drugs 5 years ago?

Unless they want to admit the legitimacy of the laptop….

There's so many outs for the government on these charges. That's why they were brought. Now the Biden sycophants can say "Look there's not 2 justice systems!"

Wow, well that was quick. Impeach Biden and he throws his
son under the bus. Wow, just like they said they would do.

Weiss was selected by 2 Delaware Democrat senators and passed for Trump's approval amid hundreds of approvals.

No doubt he was chosen because he does things "The Delaware Way" as Biden was fond of saying.

The Delaware Way is known to mean corrupt.

That's also why he was selected as Special Counsel, despite him not actually meeting the requirements to be a Special Counsel. He was selected because he'll play ball and protect the Bidens.

This is going nowhere.

If it gets thrown out, it will be on Constitutional grounds. The 5th Circuit recently ruled that these laws violate the 2nd Amendment. Since Delaware is in the 3rd Circuit, it's not binding precedent, but it will certainly make a strong argument.

And crickets on Second Amendment rights. Why is the right not up in arms over this, taking away gun rights? Everyone who smokes weed and owns a gun is committing this very same crime as we speak. Any of you smoke weed and own a gun?

You don't have to answer that, rhetorical.

If he broke the law, he deserves the punishment. But let's not treat it like he murdered someone. I bet a lot of people, not just on this forum but on any forum in the US, have committed the same crime or are doing it right now.

Weiss said that he was going to have an indictment by the end of the month in a court filing the other week.

Yes yes, surely they have a plan to make it all go away
in the end, its just for show so they can try and save
face and make people feel there is no need to actually
keep investigating Biden in the impeachment inquiry.

I heard them putting the gun charges together with
the impeachment on the radio Tuesday evening.

Very predictable.

This is only for show, and if any substance is there,
it is to keep the GOP from evidence in the impeachment
inquiry. "ongoing investigation etc".

SOP for the Democrat DOJ.

Which will be hilarious to watch as gun control advocates celebrate when Biden gets off the hook.

is smoking weed the same as being addicted to crack coc aine? Not being a drug fiend, I just don't know, but you seem to have lots of knowledge on this. so what's the deal?

They'll be filed in a different venue as the alleged times didn't occur in Delaware. When the plea deal was in place, Hunter was willing to waive venue, but one the deal fell apart he no longer waived venue.

I'll answer it. I don't support anyone in Hunter Biden's documented condition owning a gun. He was high out of his mind half the time.

Comparing that to someone who smokes weed now and then is asinine, and you are of course aware of that. But personally I couldn't care less if they started prosecuting people for that. Go for it.

Gun control advocates, if they were serious about their advocacy, should be celebrating these charges.

We're all aware that they're not serious though. They exploit the issue for votes and fundraising. That's all.
