Energy can be transformed. Like when you go within the ground. Your body breaks down supplying the earth and the various insects energy. So that is not proof of an afterlife. Can you prove a spirit or soul? If so then you have something. But you can't.

On July 21st at 11am I died on the operating table. I had a reaction to the anesthesia. I was dead as you can be for 16 minutes. They broke my sternum and a bunch of ribs doing cpr. I was essentially lifeless for 30 minutes. Heart was quivering not in sinus rhythm. I had very little fear of death before this happened and none at all after.

I saw. Life after death is real. Period. Your lack of belief is your right. But you are in fact wrong.

Oh I believe in an afterlife. It's just the stories about 'the void' bother me.
They do make me wonder sometimes.

You didn't say what you saw and experienced while dead.

In my opinion, NDE's are not a reliable source of evidence for an afterlife.

I made note that the study didn't talk about 'the void' or about D M T and dying brain hallucinations etc. Those need to be addressed in a fully comprehensive study IMHO. Still, his findings were interesting.

I agree.

Or it was your brain flooding with chemicals and you cannot decipher what if anything that you saw. The brain is extremely impressionable and powerful. It's all in your head

What evidence can you provide that you are not merely a brain in a vat, wired up with 'inputs' giving you a simulation of physical reality?

Maybe we're just "all in your head"...Gee, maybe if I refuse to believe in you, you'll cease to exist.

See the burden of proof falls on you to prove these claims. I'm not claiming there's an afterlife or playing the what if game forever. I'm looking for measurable, corroborated, tangible evidence. If you have a near death experience or claim there is an afterlife the burden falls on you to prove it. Not me. I don't care one way or the other. I'm not making a claim. Almost every reputable field of study contradicts the idea of your consciousness living on past death.

And we kind of are just brains in a vat. Except the vat is our body and the brain interprets all of the informationaround us with its many processes.

You are correct I didn't. Suffice to say the afterlife exists.

There is no thing to fear in the void.

LOL keep telling yourself that. You have no idea what happens. I can decipher it all. I choose not to share it here. The real questions are these, " if this is in fact a simulation....." Or, "In the 4th dimension time is linear and can be seen." then what?

Im not even sure what the point of this response, that is repeated, actually is. Anyone who is intrigued by NDEs knows they cannot be replicated. If there are truly thousands of cases with thousands of shocked medical personell, any sort of smug response is not even worth a reply. Saying different religions have different experiences is irrelevant. Demanding data gets extremely repetetive when everbody is already aware it is not YET testible. That, and I am almost positive most have not put one ounce of energy into reading about the topic either.

There is no point in responding to these people, they will repeat the same thing over and over.

knowing what the surgeons were doing in the room while dead, with eyes closed is fairly hard to explain, and can also be verified by multiples.

But these are just peoples' accounts of what they 'believe' they experienced. Completely and utterly subjective. Not objective in the least.

Personally, I don't want to die. I don't want my 'me' to end - I want to live forever or get the chance to live again. But, realisticaly, I cannot see how that's possible. Your consciousness is a result of the biochemical processes in your brain and to a degree, your body. WHen that stops, you stop.

I wish it wasnt so but I have seen no evidence to the contrary.

The audible version of this is very interesting. This doctor has studied this for over 40 years. He used the real scientific method to record and sort data.

Not really. If a person has a near death experience and tells about it, they are just giving first hand information on what they experienced. They don't have to 'prove' their experience. They can't. It's just up to the person hearing the story if they wish to believe it's evidence of an afterlife or not.
