Erm, no. The nuclear response capability is specifically designed to survive a EMP attach which is a high altitude nuclear attack. This applies to all sides in a nuclear war. The idea is to make a nuclear war so bad that it is not even considered. It you can just shut off the response with an EMP then it is useless to have the nukes in the first place.



Now about the low birth rate. Why would people bring children into a world with such a bleak future as has been told by the left? 'Everything is racist. Climate change will kill us all.' These statements repeated enough tend to affect the population in a negative way. And with the current American government, they are reinforcing the bleak future at all costs. The end is near, why bother?

I prefer to see a better future but governments stop it from happening all the time.

Throughout history many nations have risen and fallen. The US was, at one point, in my humble opinion, at the top. Currently with ratings of "Deficient Democracy" and "Flawed Democracy" I think it's safe to say that it is collapsing? Will it be an entire collapse, or end up being a speed bump will depend on how quickly the US can correct it's course.

Purely my opinion, but your nation is too divided. There was a time when the 2 sides could meet, negotiate and the government would actually get things done. Now-a-days Republicans and Democrats would rather spend time attacking each other and getting more extreme rather than being more centrist. Every time someone who is more centrist, and might actually be able to accomplish something, they get called a "RINO" and forced out, making there less ability to negotiate and get things done, and more likely that extremism takes over.

Until this gets resolved, and the government goes back to working together rather spending billions attacking each other, this will not improve. And I'm not taking sides, both sides do this. Until it stops, things will get no better. You need to come together as a single nation for the good of the nation. And I don't many on either side willing to do that.

Again just my humble 2 cents as a outsider.

We're already collapsing. That doesn't mean buildings and people will disappear overnight. But the basis of our foundation, the integrity that defined this country are all disappearing. It doesn't mean we don't have morals and such but it's definitely becoming a new country with new ideas and ideologies, priorities etc.

Of course there will be stragglers that refuse to adopt new ways, but they'll die off.

I think part of the issue here is, everyone has a different definition of the word "collapse" and what it means in it's entirety.

The USA is about to be the only remaining super power. China economy and aging. And well, as a Russian, it is going back to early 90's coolapse of USSR. Poor older knowledgeable babushkas preferred the soviet era. Not that it was great before Ukraine. Russia has unbelievable wealth and resources and has a lower GDP than UK and France. Oligarchs misappropriate the wealth. Refuse to invest infrastructure or pay well. Federal, State and Municipal leaders openly steal tax. If you are rob in the street, and call poliza, they immediately ask you for money in order to investigate. and if robber is caught and has more money than you he will walk. Average unskilled Russian make $200 - $300 usd a month which is half of population. We live in brutalist dilapidated soviet social housing blocks, drink moon shine vodka. And men have one highest suicide rate. It is not an ideal anti woke paradise. it is under the boot dire depression and despair. What you Americans fear about your socialist communism left and right is ridiculously exaggerated you are not collapsing. What you fear is here in Russia. Come and visit. Spend time with normal russian people and see how all #ing lucky and ungrateful you all are.

Your point is valid, we Americans in general are absolutely spoiled in terms of standard of living, and take the freedoms we have for granted.

That doesn't mean that we can't decay into something much worse. Many of us here in the US see the direction we are heading and it is the wrong direction on many fronts. Every empire in the history of Earth has fallen, and so will the American empire.

Maybe you are correct and think the imminent fall of America is hyperbole. Maybe this is just America falling back to the median a bit. I do not believe that is the case,given our current trajectory.

I believe if we as Americans do not become more vigilant with the direction of our society, will allow it to crumble. I think that has led us to our current problems in America. We have too much, too much convenience in our daily lives and have allowed traitors and delusional people take control of matters of importance.

Hard times creates strong men. Strong men create great times. Great times create weak men. Weak men create hard times.

In other words, you are correct many in America are lucky and ungrateful. That is what will lead our downfall, some of us want to stop being asleep at the wheel with our great lives.

the amount that has been done to foster these divides especially by civil servants, govs, ngos and legacy media is just leading us to a natural split rather than collapse, Europe has looked like 3 separate blocks since 2010..north America looks like 2 but i would defer to an north Americans if it looks to an insider as rupturing into more than 2 blocks..
