An open border policy may be the answer. From the continuous falling birth rates the U.S. may have no choice.

It's a win-win, according to Pritchett: Immigration solves labor shortages in the developed world, and emigration solves job shortages in the developing world.

"I am a proponent of moving more towards a permanent visa space," Watson said. According to Gallup, almost one billion people around the world would migrate permanently if they could. "It's the permanent immigrants who generate the long run population growth for us," Watson said.

To Pritchett, the current landscape of migration is comparable to the U.S. prohibition of alcohol.

I feel with no leadership coming out of the White House that is very possible.
People are saying that there's an open borders but what does that mean well it means that anybody that wants to come in that can legally come in or be admitted.
There actually is a crisis of the population of the American society Americans are not having that many children anymore.

So maybe this is all program to be true where the changes of society is to save society in the long run.

It started in 1999.

The economy is the biggest pain point I agree.

And the left certainly hasn’t done anything to help that, in reality their policies have only added to the list of problems.

But the scary part to me is that the right thinks they’re salvation from that.

Their last two presidents added a great deal of the debt and problems to the country. Bush with the wars in the Middle East, and some of his policies that lead to 08’. Trump added about 25% to the national debt, and he bailed out a lot of businesses that should have been allowed to fail.

Both parties have been leading to our demise, and the only reason they get away with it is their partisan base convincing themselves they’re not as bad as their opponents. Dogmatic ideology is what is hurting this country, because it doesn’t leave any room for self awareness or introspection.
While I agree that 'left' vs 'right' doesn't help us in the long run, the left has been predominately at fault for what's happening. Look at all the blue states how they're doing, and how their decline is speeding up. I agree that it's the 1% causing us (the 99%) to fight amoung ourselves, this is their plan so we never focus on them, and they enjoy the show .

Yeah, ironically it's the only logical explanation at this point.

Maybe lowering the cost of living would have been a better solution, unlike the purposely planned lockstep inlfation because of 'covid' .

No, the USA won't "collapse as a nation" in my lifetime. The US is stronger than the current political divisiveness.

There are plenty of nations "on the brink", and these are nations that curtail and control civil liberties. I know it's customary to whine on about the US this, and the US that, but that's because you are free to do so. Not many Chinese are able to voice their opinions.

Look at the red states being some of the number one welfare states.

They’re both bad at a federal and state level. Neither party is fiscally responsible. While the right will often give a short term boost to the economy with certain tax breaks and incentives, they also increase spending which adds debt. The ideas are short sighted.

If we take a look at recent federal spending over the years and compare presidents, the right doesn’t have a leg to stand on.

I think it's likely for a couple reasons.

1. If we continue as we are, the economy is going to collapse.

2. A nuclear attack is becoming increasingly more likely than not. From what I understand, an EMP attack is more likely than nukes because it would lower the risk of a nuclear response.

3. Civil War/Balkanization is also becoming more likely.
-Political persecutions and corruption is now blatant and they're not even pretending anymore.
-The child mutilation Rainbow Reich agenda is a red line that will result in a violent response

Let me get this straight. You're saying since the sky hasn't fallen, that means it will never fall. That's what you're saying. However you try to explain your way out of this, you're still wrong. The sky will fall for the United States. We're the last bastion of freedom in the world. When we go, that will open up the door for a one world government and leader.

A great leader will step up and fix this mess. This leader will be so great that he will appear to save many countries that are falling apart. People everywhere will start thinking we actually have a chance at world peace, a new golden age. That's when the real SHTF.

You are so right. To confirm what you say, I even read that in one of my old books.

You are so right about other nations curtailing citizen's rights. What do you think is preventing a one world government from taking over? If you guessed the United States, you would be right. That's why they're trying so hard to get rid of the United States - we're the last bastion of freedom and as such, we're holding up their plans.

Your response boils down to, “it hasn’t happened yet.”

Denial is a reasonable response to the idea that your entire way of life could possibly change. It’s easy to assume things will never change.

History and geology tell us otherwise.

The fact is it hasn’t happened yet, and the sky has indeed yet to fall.

And the doom porn is simply the same to similar flavor today as it was decades ago.

Again by comparison to other nations, America is in its infancy.

Nowhere nearly ready to collapse as a nation despite the division amongst your populace.

The world is a better place with you than without you and hopefully, that remains the colour of the day despite those who wish to see your great experiment with democracy fail.

You don't have it straight.

Civilisations rise and fall, thats a fact.

But yours is not anywhere near ready to keel over and die anytime soon by my guess.

And i hate to burst your bubble but America is anything but the last bastion of freedom in the world.

Plenty of nations around the globe enjoy a modicum of freedom.

If anything just like anywhere else that claims to be free you are only as free as the law of the land allows.

No, you aren't.
You are the biggest and the strongest.
And the role you have played on the world stage has helped the rest of the world immensely and that should never be forgotten or ignored.

Sure, you've made mistakes, pretty much the same as everyone.

But you aren't the only country that values 'freedom' and is trying to hold on to those values.
Yes, they are slowly being eroded, bit by bit....and its up to us all to prevent that.

"One World Government". Not in my lifetime, nor in my grandchildren's either. People who think so have not looked at how nations and societies are created, operated and die.

And the US is not the "last bastion of freedom and such". There are plenty of countries which promote and exist in liberty. The US is just one of many nations who support civil and social freedoms.

Psychology also tells us being overly preoccupied with it shortens your life. chances are you die befor witnessing that which you worried about...

To worry about worst case scenarios is lost energy.
The phrase "that couldn't have gone worse", is always uttered as a semi joke, no one will ever be able to honestly say that....

It started when America turn her back on us Vets who were lucky enough to come home.... only we did not...

Those of us who joined Vietnam Vets Against The War became victimised by the No Fly List.

I LEFT IN 84.

No plans to come back and will never file for Social Security. Thats how sick my country has treated me n my brothers.

We used to chant , To Hell with National Honor We Wont be used again. Nobody listened! So sorry America did not learn from history n repeating the past.

America is NOT worthy of the sacrifices of the young who serve.

Honestly I wish I had the courage of a draft dodger. Said by a man who wore a "V" device and silver wings.

Yes it will.... just a matter of time
