It's a win-win, according to Pritchett: Immigration solves labor shortages in the developed world, and emigration solves job shortages in the developing world.
"I am a proponent of moving more towards a permanent visa space," Watson said. According to Gallup, almost one billion people around the world would migrate permanently if they could. "It's the permanent immigrants who generate the long run population growth for us," Watson said.
To Pritchett, the current landscape of migration is comparable to the U.S. prohibition of alcohol.

I feel with no leadership coming out of the White House that is very possible.
People are saying that there's an open borders but what does that mean well it means that anybody that wants to come in that can legally come in or be admitted.
There actually is a crisis of the population of the American society Americans are not having that many children anymore.
So maybe this is all program to be true where the changes of society is to save society in the long run.
While I agree that 'left' vs 'right' doesn't help us in the long run, the left has been predominately at fault for what's happening. Look at all the blue states how they're doing, and how their decline is speeding up. I agree that it's the 1% causing us (the 99%) to fight amoung ourselves, this is their plan so we never focus on them, and they enjoy the show .

The economy is the biggest pain point I agree.
And the left certainly hasn’t done anything to help that, in reality their policies have only added to the list of problems.
But the scary part to me is that the right thinks they’re salvation from that.
Their last two presidents added a great deal of the debt and problems to the country. Bush with the wars in the Middle East, and some of his policies that lead to 08’. Trump added about 25% to the national debt, and he bailed out a lot of businesses that should have been allowed to fail.
Both parties have been leading to our demise, and the only reason they get away with it is their partisan base convincing themselves they’re not as bad as their opponents. Dogmatic ideology is what is hurting this country, because it doesn’t leave any room for self awareness or introspection.

A great leader will step up and fix this mess. This leader will be so great that he will appear to save many countries that are falling apart. People everywhere will start thinking we actually have a chance at world peace, a new golden age. That's when the real SHTF.

No, the USA won't "collapse as a nation" in my lifetime. The US is stronger than the current political divisiveness.
There are plenty of nations "on the brink", and these are nations that curtail and control civil liberties. I know it's customary to whine on about the US this, and the US that, but that's because you are free to do so. Not many Chinese are able to voice their opinions.
We're the last bastion of freedom in the world.

What do you think is preventing a one world government from taking over? If you guessed the United States, you would be right. That's why they're trying so hard to get rid of the United States - we're the last bastion of freedom and as such, we're holding up their plans.
