Montgomery County Public Schools issued a statement Thursday reaffirming its “commitment to cultivating an inclusive and welcoming learning environment” by not allowing parents to opt their children out of LGBTQ+ storybooks. The statement comes after months of protests, petitions and a lawsuit from parents as well as national and local organizations requesting an opt-out option.

Homosexuality is about 5% of the population and occurs naturally.

Clearly the member is making the same mistake by labelling confused kids as transgender kids. No human has transitioned between the two genders, the claim transgender people exist is as antiscientific as it gets.

Agree, but just for argument's sake, I'm asking about gender dysphoria. This is rather rare as in below .5% but what we have been seeing is much larger percentages in big liberal cities and that is due to it being popularized more than a mental condition. I'm pretty sure within the next 10 years we will be flooded with cases of people trying to de-transition back and finding the changes are permanent.

Doesn't matter the percentage of people who have gender dysphoria or let's say sex dysphoria which is a better term imo, that alone doesn't make you 'transgender' and isn't an extra motive to start hormones, drugs, or go down the path of surgery. The trans lobby is trying really hard to take advantage of a mental health issue. They're immoral as we all know. A linguistic movement that tries to take advantage of mental health issues to promote their false and misleading ideology.

There is nothing inclusive and welcoming. It's all LGBTQ+ propaganda. Promoting infinite number of genders in schools should be punishable with getting you fired and jailed. Political indoctrination is illegal anyway.

Where is that in the books?

We aren't debating the type of books or the number of books in public schools teaching gender identity, gender spectrum, inclusivity and diversity, and the rest. We all accept this is the substance of gender ideology, baseless claims taught as facts, therefore childhood indoctrination in a few words. It's politics that brought this kind of nonsense in some of the schools. What sane person will start teaching kids there are more than 2 genders.
