How is building a wall of shipping containers along the entire Texas border with Mexico going to solve the immediate problem of the people coming today and next week and on and on?

I see two options on the Southern border.

It is so open like a sieve, the number of illegal crossings is staggering.

So,
option one:
Give up. Surrender. Dissolve the border, stop wasting time, money and resources with the current patrolling taking place. Just say come one, come all. Mexicans, Central Americans, Taliban, whomever.
option two:
Issue a demand to Mexico to deploy their military along their side of the border and stop the illegal entries from their side immediately and completely or we will deploy our military along the border with shoot on sight orders for anyone crossing illegally.
If that is required then a formal declaration of war with Mexico and let the missiles fly and remember the Alamo !

The border issue is not something that can be solved in a day.

It will take time to figure out.

it's been a problem since the days of Eisenhower. It's now a crisis.

Here is one solution: Texas just completed a floating barrier wall in the Rio Grande to deter illegal crossings.

The barrier will prevent drownings and slow down human smugglers. Texas is securing its own border due to Biden's criminal inaction to protect the United States.

If he wants a deterrent/wall. Then maybe get a bunch of shipping containers

I think it was Arizona tried that and it worked, till the fed flipped out and screwed things up as usual.

I know some people call it theater, but saw in the news today the mayor of new york said stop trying to choose New york we are full up and not taking anymore.

The only way short of shooting people crossing illegally is to stop this sanctuary non-sense, New york city folded, start to flood those states/cities that want this stupidity and they will stop claiming to take any and all.

Barriers like Texas has started putting in the river will help in some areas where its deep enough, they might just have to say go pound sand and ignore any judicial decision against them and start using containers on the federal land, and tell the Fed to go pound sand.

Why the hell is Mexico not enforcing its own immigration policies and deporting these illegals in their country?? Let's just get like 3500 guys And gals with guns and cuffs and arrest them as they cross. Send them all back.

Yeah they float, which means you can go under them, this is just another play for PR and not a real solution and i doubt it will help prevent any drowning given the amount of obstacles the immigrants have to over come just to get to get that far

Also the company Cochrane Global or Cochrane international depending on where you are is a private military defense contractor.

too bad we couldn't get any of this version of those bouy's

That is why it pisses me off so much when they say what Abbott or DeSantis is doing sending them to sanctuary places. FFS declaring themselves 'sanctuary is was complete utter political PANDERING and WHY THEY ARE COMING. So they deserve to have them all.

Because the CARTELS want to traffic the kids and use the others as mules and charge them all a fortune to cross. Do you not understand that the CARTELS run Mexico?

Please send the suggestion to the governors office in Texas. Get some that float under them, and then more that float under those. An aqua wall. If they know that cant get across they wont try after they see others drown. In the long run, lives may be saved.

Easy solution is to just suspend netting under them, after a few get stuck the rest will learn.

But that's the problem. Abbott will be crucified for allowing let alone causing them to drown.

Their choice to try, drowning would be no ones fault but their own. The "Republicans" are always worried about taking blame for doing what they know is right and what the majority want.

They would probably charge Abbott with murder and jail him. So no. There isn't much a governor can do on his own.

At some point, the dissolution of the border is the final reason to secede.
The feds have abandoned their only reason for existing, which is to secure and protect American lands and citizens.
Texas AZ etc have a great case to go ahead and do it, through a lawsuit, not even a civil war type thing. Just a lawsuit that the feds have totally breached the contract.
Now granted, you would need a state government with some balls. Todays mix of leftists, RINOs, and spineless GOP, won’t do it. Abbot’s kind of a punk when things get tough. Desantis and FL might be the only one with enough guts.

One thing I never understood is why the Mexican government doesn't secure their southern border.
They certainly shouldn't be getting the money we send them every year, imagine what 300 million a year could do for Americans, thats nearly a million dollars a year for every American. I could definitely spend it better

300 million a year to 300 million Americans equals 1 dollar a year to each American.

Math... it isn't that hard.
