Is this why Greta got arrested again?
Nuclear is kinda scary after Fukishima. I like my BlueFin Tuna not glowing. Nobody talks about that disaster much anymore. I guess it's all ok now? /s Maybe why cancer is on the increase? COVID vax or Fukishima or 100 other things, including smoking tobacco.
Oh, we are all gonna die!~
I think there are risks in any energy technology.
But compare the total of all deaths from nuclear contamination, to the total of all deaths due to fossil fuel pollution.
Fossil fuel air pollution responsible for 1 in 5 deaths worldwide
The human race has been burning billions of tons of high carbon fossil fuels each year, for more than a century.
The pollution is real and extremely vast. Think about how much fuel it takes to run the 280 million cars and trucks that just the US has, and that is only one part of one country, of what we use carbon fossil fuels for.
It is undeniable and simple chemistry that underlies truth that we are polluting the only planet we can live on.
The article was written by a team of engineering students who collaborated across three universities in the UK and the US, who wanted to quantify the effects on human life.
Pollution is a real issue.
The end of human life or the catastrophy that is often pushed by the green agenda are very unreal and baseless.
You know when pollution has killed all the fish in a river? (Image search of dead fish in polluted rivers)
Imagine if that pollution was in the air and we are all air breathers - but not only us, but every species that metabolizes oxygen would be similarly poisoned. (image search of smog and crowds)
Yes, it is... of course it couldn't have anything to do with how close it is to the sun though, no, its just the CO2.
“Our results suggest that Venus has been uninhabitable for at least 70% of its history—four times longer than some previous estimates,” said geophysical scientist Sasha Warren, a University of Chicago graduate student and first author of the paper, published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
“From a great distance, Earth and Venus could be cousins,” said UChicago planetary scientist and associate professor Edwin Kite, the other co-author on the paper.“They’re both rocky and similar distances from the sun. But clearly they have had extremely different outcomes as far as habitability goes.”

I think you're confusing Venus with Mercury , Venus isn't that much closer to the Sun than Earth.

Just waiting for trump to turn around and say human climate change is real, and needs to be tackled! How many on this site would suddenly change their tune I wonder!

Why would you think most people here are Trump supporters or that their view of climate change has anything to do with Trump says.

Because it is a trend on here for trump supporters to believe everything he says and hos views! Be it climate change, covid or transgenger! Just a pattern on here! J am not saying everyone who holds these views are trump supporters, but a lot are.
Are you are rump supporter?

That'd a cyclic argument.
Try again please

I don't contest the problem we face when it comes to pollution. It's real and it's there.
I am against, just as a large number of scientists, this false climate change alarmism and the doom and gloom scenarios where the end of the world is approaching.

No.
But your argument earlier is circular.
Don't go off topic. Look at how Sweden dealt with reality. Btw Trump probably agrees a lot with the Swedish government.

On balance, however, there are more scientists who agree that there is technologically caused climate change, than there are who are deniers.
The strongest deniers of climate change are also those whose primary measure of human achievement is capital.
The truth is that you cannot pollute stuff into the atmosphere for centuries in the way we have done, and just expect for it to be remediated by the planet. The planetary processes are too slow for the rate we pollute, and one of the consequences of the build-up of pollutants is changes to climate.
CO2 is a greenhouse gas. When radiant heat from the Sun strikes molecules, some of that heat is retained as latent heat, and some of that heat is re-radiated, but at a lower frequency. The lower frequencies are more likely to be retained, leading to heating of the molecules, without any significant re-radiation.
The primarily Nitrogen-Oxygen mix of unpolluted atmosphere retains less latent heat than an atmosphere higher in CO2 molecules. So pollution, even stuff we cannot see, has an effect on climate. A polluted atmosphere warms up and retains more heat, and since atmospheric convection is entirely energized by heat, it will cause changes in climate.
On balance, however, there are more scientists who agree that there is technologically caused climate change, than there are who are deniers.

Trump is a buffoon! So do not care ehat he says because he is not the brightest spark as I am sure you will agree!
Delta with reality? And what reality is that then? That the people pushing this no man made climate change have got thrir hands into these fossil fuel companies and making a lot of money, and then normal folk believe this to be fact when 98% of climate scientists say otherwise!
So what is the real agenda here!

Strawman arguments.
The 98% argument is propagated in the media and has no truth in it. You can only find articles online propagating this number without any evidence.
