How do I astral project from lucid dreams? I always feel like i get halfway there but then it just falls into a dream. Or perhaps this wasnt the question you were looking for

When that implies ending the lucid dream then wake up from it. I'd say only do it when approved by The Alknowing.
As with everything, only do so when approved by The Alknowing.
