doesn't really matter if they are still fighting their own.

its this conflict, the narcissism, exceptionalism and isolationism that curtains the usa from the reality that'll be its downfall like the soviet block.

that is unless the usa can elect a leader and adopts real policies that fix the divisive nature of usa politics it doesn't matter who wins in the endless wars of red vs blue.

Hyperbolic much?
Plans for expanding the court, Federal loan forgiveness and the restoration of civil rights are not attacks on democracy nor are hey efforts to destroy it.

In this hypothetical scenario that sees the Dems being voted into control of Congress and the White House, and using that power to enact policies supported by the majority of the population, where is democracy being destroyed? It seems to me like that's the definition of democracy in action.

again, federal loan forgivness is not a function of the government
its a waste of taxpayer dollars meant to perpetuate the nanny state which yes, is detrimental the nation

so what IS the difference

why should any ones tax dollars be used fund any of these, this is not the function of government

One of them, the PPP program, basically helped save the country from total and complete economic ruin.
The other, student loan forgiveness, was a pandering scam to get votes and economically unviable.

ok well stated i will concede to your points

but i would also like to add that forgiveness of these loans, in either case is irresponsible. It should not be the responsibility of the federal government to protect anyone who makes bad personal financial decisions.

Who is going to pay for my car, or my house?

Let's take this one at a time.

Dobbs returned the decision to the states. Democratic choice by the states.

Affermative action was bad according to 70% of the American people. Again the decision goes with popular openion. Democracy at work.

The 'LGBTQ+' decision as you call it. That was about free speech. A individual and then a state was trying to make another individual say something in the form of a web design that they did not want to say. Sounds like supporting the constitution to me. If this decision went the other way, would you support Nazi groups forcing web designers to make their sites? That would be fair would it not?

Student loans, you think the debt of people that freely entered into a contract to pay it back should be paid by the government and therefore by the tax payers? That sounds unamerican to me.

You are saying the younger voters are against democracy, freedom, fair business practices, the constitution and finally the American way of life?

Why the hell should I as a taxpayer pay for MTG's PPP loan?

If you don’t understand the difference between the two, that’s your problem.

Talking about shady elections..MTG!

As far as AA goes, whatever it was intended to do, was grossly misinterpreted over the years, it just became a govt/SC sanctioned form of racism.

So the Democrats sat around and did nothing while Ro was overturned; students loans where not paid off; affirmative action in college admissions was stopped; and LGBTQ rights overturned and I'm supposed to vote for them again?

You don't think people having more money every month will stimulate the economy? Aren't you guys constantly saying the economy is on the brink of collapse?

The demographic that has benefited most from affirmative action has been white women.

How is moving money from one group, the tax payers, to another, the student loan holders, going to improve the economy? Please explain this.

Republicu#ts should move to Afghanistan. They will feel right at home.

That would leave the land for the natives again, pretty sure they won't mess it up that hard in such a short time. Everybody wins....

To be fair the"natives" were not actually the first ones here. they stole the land from a previous people as well.
And To win Trump just has to say he will work to make abortion a right with exceptions and say he will try to get student loans debt subsidized into smaller payments without interest in exchange for government work.
Republicans also will have to early vote and vote harvest too this 2024.

i used the term "again" because it was the second time i made the comment in this thread, thanks for reading

Also, thanks for taking my comments out of context
i never said the government wasn't involved in the loan process or even in protecting people from bad lending practices, my intent was to show that it is not the intended function of the federal government to "bail out" anyone,

At the expense of honest taxpayers who paid their debts?

I hope you aren't suggesting it's good for the economy that people who do not owe student loans must pay for those who do, because it would give deadbeats more money every month that can't pay their own debts.

If that were true, there wouldn't be bankruptcy laws. But of course you know, student loans are exempt from bankruptcy court.
