We used to be able to offend people and folks would say, "I may not agree with what you say but I will defend to the death your right to say it."
I'm against this, because I think we should be encouraging free speech no matter what is said.
What a load of BS, back in the day people resorted to violence not polite 'agree to disagree' anything. What a joke.
AAAAAnd your post illustrates why we can't have nice things.
And your post illustrates that we never had nice things.
You must be young.
Pity.

But in the arena of speech, I must always side for more freedom than less.

the term cis is othering language just as harmful as misgendering
you refuse to play the pronoun game, you also refuse the protections it affords from othering language
cant have it both ways

That is directly in line with the government, not to you to me. Or let's say where you work, or the places you like to visit physically or virtually. What Twitter did in the past before Musk was 100% Politically motivated to one side. It is a strange-looking animal as it has a platform for 10s of millions while needing to try to toe some middle line. I think you can say "I disagree with this" while looking at what the old Twitter once did regularly as a WTF moment on each.

Nope, I've seen it all back then and violence ruled.

I still have no idea what any of those made terms even mean, and I don't wanna know either.

Before we were having some feeble leftist call me a cis-gender on Twitter while I got banned for calling him a feeble leftist.
Now?
The same feeble leftist can call me a cis-gender but I get to reply and call him a feeble leftist.

Cis and trans are Latin prefixes used in chemistry. They are antonyms with one meaning on the same side and its opposite meaning on the other side of. When discussing transgender issues, the broadly used and widely accepted terms cis and cisgender are valuable descriptors when discussing the differences between trans and non-trans people.

If you're upset by this. Wait until someone takes power and decides that people who claim men can be women are spreading disinfo and start arresting them for spreading Disinformation.
Because according to the DHS, your thoughts are "cognitive infrastructure" and need to be regulated...

Well now we have Elon lording over the 'cis' word and all will be banned who use it, whether derogatorily or not. It is his majesty's command.

Upset with what? To lean on the side to agree doesn't mean there are any emotions involved. I also do not see the Government doing anything here, but didn't Canada make it illegal to address someone by anything other than their preferred pronoun?

I have always considered it a slur, like a color word that comes from Latin.
I am a woman. Let there be man. Let there be woman.
Cis sounds like sissy and I hate it.
