They took their shoes off when they boarded the sub. Those shoes must be form someone from the Titanic.

Apparently, those images are from a 2020 article...

You're under the sea, nobody can see.

Let's hot-box this thing.

US Coast Guard have confirmed wreckage found is from the sub and that it suffered a catastrophic implosion 1600 meters from the bow of the Titanic ,it likely happened when contact was lost.

Sounds like they're saying the debris field is consistent with the sub imploding on the way down, then the debris continued down and settled on the floor about 1600 ft from the bow of the Titanic wreckage. They said they didn't hear any implosion on their instruments during the search, so that's another sign it happened during the descent and not sometime within the last few days.

I have to think they died pretty quickly.

From my understanding, they wouldn't even have time to know it happened. I hope that's true at least.

Considering the hull was 5 inch thick carbon fiber, which delaminates, an implosion at that depth would be akin to being invested simultaneously and from 360°, by a million razor blades... all this in a split second. I doubt they even had time to see or feel it happen.

Just heard it takes twice as long for a body to sense something's wrong as it does for the sub to implode completely.

If you're gonna die 2 miles beneath the surface, this is the most merciful way to go.

And this will be the last time anyone goes down in an uncertified sub hopefully.

They said, that they found the metal framing cage that was built around it. All of that bolted to the main capsule. That can only mean one thing, that the capsule itself imploded and crush so fast and violently that the bolts snapped off the framing and separated from the frame. They found it 1600 meters or so from the bow of the Titanic. So it must of imploded right when they lost signal. Well....bad news is they all died. Good news, is that it was a swift death.

Jud wondering, should death via submerged implosion replace the needle?

I mean, it sounds pretty quick.

"Humane capital punishment"?

You went against the government!

Sentence: implosion.

They didn't hear metal creaking or anything?

Maybe the black boxes will tell us more.

Rather that than a slower death via lack of breathable air. Frankly they need to halt dives on the Titanic and find out what the hell happened on the Titan. An implosion implies a catastrophic malfunction of some kind somewhere along the line, which might mean faulty equipment.
And I really think that diving on Titanic should be discouraged. Firstly it's a massive gravesite. People died there. Secondly it's dangerous - the wreck is literally falling to pieces, a mass of rusticles.

There was little metal to creak. It was carbon fiber. Carbon fiber goes from being fine to disintigrating when overloaded. It happened in an instant at that pressure.

They did not have an emergency pinger, why would you think they had a black box?

been reading the thread and people talking about how fast they died and finding remains.

yes it was fast, and i would guess there will be no bodies to recover. they were pulverized. maybe little pieces but more than likely nothing that would be recognizable as human remains.
