Parents are getting fed up. The parents are most likely the ones wearing white tees that say 'leave kids alone'.

Then we funded the Department of Education.

Now we are ranked somewhere between 14th and 41st, according to different measures.

So to me, the Department of Education did exactly what is was made to do.

Make people smart enough to run the machines...

I went to the KTLA link, read the article and watched the entire video, and nowhere was it written or said that it was protesting (against) parents vs. activists. There were parents on both sides. It did look like there were pro-LGBTQ activists as well (that's a guess), but there were parents too. Who's to say there weren't anti-gay activists in the protesting crowd as well? North Hollywood is probably more conservative than other parts of the LA metropolitan area, but there are still going to be gay parents and liberal parents who support the reading of a book that explains families can be different from the conventional norm.

Im sure there were parents on both sides. But all the white t shirts say 'leave kids alone'. Those were the parents. Easy to see.

North Hollywood is the gayborhood! It is not conservative.

From my take from multiple news articles, the LGBTQ Pride Day assembly was planned beforehand and everyone knew when it would take place. The opposing-view parents showed up, logo T-shirts and signs to protest against their Pride Day assembly. We all know the rest.
