Are you guys saying I can shop at Target, and there will be fewer rednecks and closeted evangelicals?

I’m ok with that, it’s on the way home from work.
The coffee, milk, bread, and beer are cheaper there than my grocery. So is the dog food, cat food, cat litter.

How many kids have had sex changes now, worldwide? Under 18.

You dont get it.
Biden admin had approved sex changes in which the treatment for it starts young before they become 18.

Not by as much. Losing market percentage isn't a good thing when you've got shareholders to keep happy.

Will they still be number one in a couple more months...this time next year?? Pissed off consumers is never a good thing.

Target's always been more "woke" than WalMart (and they treat their employees better, too!) They have Black History Month things available and support other causes. One that's local to me has a group that appears in the Pride marches (I found that out chatting to a favorite cashier just this past week.) I found a nice Fabulous Fan to take to the Pride March this Sunday (I'm not gay but I can be fabulous anyway.)

And their cashback/rebate program with the app is Teh Awesome (not to mention that it's wonderful for finding stuff in-store and even in stores where you don't regularly shop.)

I think there's plenty of other stores for the objectors to shop. I'm not sure that they're a major retailer for "non-woke" people.

You are absolutely fabulous in all the most positive ways!

The woke appears expensive.

A week ago Wednesday, Target enjoyed its stock value at $160.96 a share, but following the calls to boycott the Minneapolis-based retailer over its “PRIDE” collection, the value plummeted and closed Friday at $138.93 a share — The New York Post reports The nearly 14 per cent drop in value for the blue chip stock roughly translates to a $10.1 billion (A$15billion) loss in valuation to just $64.2 billion for Target, which has nearly 2,000 stores nationwide.

People are tired of politics.
Any politics imo.

Fabulous? Ooooh! Thank you sir!! I'm very flattered and delighted!!! And you're fabulous, too (in a very nice and manly way).

While the market may cringe at Target, I don't think the shoppers are. Target's always had Pride/Black History/Women's Month merchandise and it's usually in the form of a single display close to the front of the store (not everything in the store.) I've read that they made the move because employees were being harassed over it and in some areas people were throwing the merchandise on the floor, making it a lot harder work for the employees. So folks are getting tetchy over something that's really not new... but that Political Hysteria has caused them to notice perhaps for the first time.

Cruz's comments in that article are interesting (and thanks for the link.) Like Cruz, I don't think it's going to have as much an impact on the sales figures.

Anyway...

I like to think you might approve of what's being done here in Dallas - the event is held at the Fairgrounds (so nobody's inconvenienced by shut off streets) and it's a gated area so troublemakers can be escorted out and told to stay out. The folks who will be there are LGBTQ+ and the families and friends who support them. Nobody's going to be on anyone else's turf and it should be very safe for everyone. I haven't been to one of these events before (I'm going, as I said, to support my daughter and family members who are gay) so it should be interesting!

I agree with you that we're all tired of politics. Maybe a nice drink somewhere (if it's here in Texas, I'll even loan you a fabulous fan! Better yet, we could find a cafe with fabulous air conditioning because... it's Melty-Down weather here.) I'm sure we can locate a place that makes mojitos or even one that has your favorite brand of whatever.

Scotch? Whiskey? (love them both, myself)... what would the excellent Mr. Brody drink?
