I may not vote at all now that I know just how dirty and dysfunctional our election process is -- thanks to the Kari Lake trials and numerous other recent events. Voting would simply legitimize and sanitize a corrupt process, and I'm not inclined to do so. It would also be a waste of time and energy.

Maybe someone will do something to change my mind. I'm encouraged by our Senate's recent banning of our foreign-made electronic voting machines. Maybe more of that kind of thing will give me reason to vote.

But as of now, my only vote is a silent vote of no confidence.

No Boadicea, you have to vote!!! Even if it's only for local races. The only way things will change is to vote. I know we have less than ideal candidates but this is still "our" country and we'll be damned if we give up to those who want to destroy it. Maybe one election cycle doesn't make a visible difference but if we can get good people into politics at the local level, they'll eventually be part of a change for the better.

DeSantis has his flaws but he's done a lot for Florida. If he could do the same for the nation, that would be fantastic.

Probably the same person I voted for in the last election. No one. There are no good options.

Vote for the most vetted person on Earth.

Until I see another valid horse in the race, I'd go DeSantis. I don't see how the nation could allow Biden to run again among his clearly deteriorating mental state and corruption, so just let trump run out his final bid. I'd possibly support a different candidate if given the option.

That said, if DeSantis can weather a Trump counter-campaign, and if anyone has it, he does, then I'm double down on DeSantis. But if it comes to a Biden Trump race, then Trump.

There will not be an election in 2024. World War 3 will have officially begun that summer and our geriatric President and Kackala Harris will declare martial law after they postpone the November elections. You heard it here first. Peace be with you. a reply to: linda72

I’ll vote for anyone who is not an America hating Democrat.

Please people, vote for sanity.

There was a time I felt very much like you, and would have made the same arguments. But not today. I'm more inclined to think that we need to take our stand by refusing to participate in their dirty deeds. Much like I believe that the only way to get boys/men out of girls/womens sports is for the girls/women to refuse to compete.

Every fundamental right comes with the option to say "no, I won't be part of this." I think that time has come. As long as our elections are dirty (and they are), we don't have a chance of getting a decent politician in office. If we're going to get the dirtbag anyway, we are only supporting the dirty dirt bags by participating.

Having said that, yes, if there are any local offices or ballot propositions worth voting for, then I will vote for those offices/props and just not vote for any federal offices. That, too, will send the same message.

Unless the Republicans/Conservatives and a significant portion of the moderates get behind anybody but Biden theme

Biden Harris will be re-elected.

No way, no how does enough Trump support coalesce around DeSantis, and no way no how does enough of the DeSantis support coalesce around Trump for either to win the general election. Thus divided and weakened no way no how can the Republicans face the same machine that turned the previous election on its ear.

Sure some places have made voting changes since, but doubtful it's enough to keep the same scenario from happening.

Hell, there are rumors Texas will turn blue, now where are the rumors of any blue state turning red? None of the battleground states are at risk, have no doubt if DeSantis is the nominee, enough Trump supporters will sit out the general election in protest, allowing for a Biden 2.0

Democrats are so much better at rationalizing if nothing else it's better for their party to win the nomination, Republicans don't get that, lol we are seeing it in this thread. If you ARE Republican live in a battleground state and don't vote, you've voted for Biden. PERIOD

Im for DeSantis BTW...just don't think he's electable in today's climate, too many prefer the status quo over the uncertainty of a new President

Sanity has nothing to do with it. I live in the Chicago area and I personally know more people than I like to admit that voted for geriatric Biden. I asked why and all I could get out of them was “it’s not Trump!” I believe it’s purely emotional response. They get triggered ñ. Crazy. a reply to: RazorV66

As it stands right now I won't be voting 'for' POTUS candidate; I will be voting against one. I refuse to waste my vote on an independent candidate which just ensures it wouldn't count.

DeSantis raises red flags for me. First, he's a lawyer. IMHO that is part of the DC problem, along with the vast amount of wealth to be made in politics. Secondly, he was part of Schwan's YGL program, and all information on that subject seems to have been scrubbed from the internet. Third, my gut instinct tells me if something seems too good to be true, it probably isn't.

I fear our next POTUS choices will both be Trojan Horses. We're to far down the totalitarian path of control for TPTB to allow a course reversal.

For those of you who say you're done voting, the powers that be have won. You don't understand that is part of what they want. They want you to lose faith in voting. Apathy is no excuse. In fact apathy is what put us where we are currently at. I don't have much faith in our elections either, but I'll be damned if I surrender any of my rights. Especially to a group of Marxists.

People quit cutting off your noses to spite the face!

There's something you don't quite understand or know about. No one has ever defeated Marxists at the ballot box. There's only one solution to Marxists and that's to excize them root and branch. Yes, the Marxist's have won this round but in their success lies the cause of their ultimate defeat. Having won, they will now proceed to financially bankrupt the US and that's actually the quickest and most efficient way to fix what ails the US.

I'll just burn my vote on whatever libertarian they dangle out there, like I always do. I probably won't ever vote republican or Democrat (president) for the rest of my life. Local and state elections I vote all over the place.

It is too early to answer that question. I need to see all the candidates, not just the early announcers.
