It will have an Orwellian outcome for sure.
And it seems by the look of things we know what side
that bias is going to land. Against conservative values,
and as the laws protecting free speech fade away
people will be policed for just saying things.
Then thinking things, poor Winston!
I need some tinfoil is seems....

Abrams, Stacey (USA), CEO, Sage Works Production
anybody else ? 🤩
List of Attendees 😁
Economy, Elizabeth (USA), Senior Advisor for China, Department of Commerce
Discussing China is high on the agenda, but no economic nor AI Chinese representatives were invited, so just how far can the discussion go? I know it's European and N.A. normally, but why put China on the agenda without anyone there with insight. Who knows, maybe Elizabeth Economy knows the score.

Borg, Anna (SWE), President and CEO, Vattenfall AB
Yes. Very fitting. No discussion about AI would be complete without the Borg in attendance.

Ah yes, synthetic telepathy and hive minds.
There is some hope, as my current understanding is that a person of above average intelligence, can out think and out preform a small group of idiots.
Now a large group of idiots, especially one that will blindly follow orders, well that right there could be the greatest threat to humanity.
Milgram summarized the experiment in his 1974 article "The Perils of Obedience", writing:
The legal and philosophic aspects of obedience are of enormous importance, but they say very little about how most people behave in concrete situations. I set up a simple experiment at Yale University to test how much pain an ordinary citizen would inflict on another person simply because he was ordered to by an experimental scientist. Stark authority was pitted against the subjects' [participants'] strongest moral imperatives against hurting others, and, with the subjects' [participants'] ears ringing with the screams of the victims, authority won more often than not. The extreme willingness of adults to go to almost any lengths on the command of an authority constitutes the chief finding of the study and the fact most urgently demanding explanation. Ordinary people, simply doing their jobs, and without any particular hostility on their part, can become agents in a terrible destructive process. Moreover, even when the destructive effects of their work become patently clear, and they are asked to carry out actions incompatible with fundamental standards of morality, relatively few people have the resources needed to resist authority.

And not one terrorist attack has ever happened at any of these meetings. Wonder why? You would think that terrorists would be all over these kinds of meetings thus freeing humanity from the grip of tyranny. Which should tell you why terrorists always kill innocent people and never actually go after the people they really should be terrorizing.
Because Terrorism is a tool of the elite and not poor people pooling their resources to kill other poor people. a reply to: burntheships
