funny!

It is also disturbing, as there is no such thing as unbiased
AI.

Actually, at the very start, ChatGPT seemed relatively fair.

Recently, however, in discussions I had with it, it tried to deny the horrific treatment of the Uyghurs in China, the Killing fields of Cambodia, and the Holomodor, trying to state some platitude about various regimes differ as to how they seek to best serve their populations.

It now seems the AI leftism has been dialed to 11, based on claims that AI "spontaneously" becomes progressive based on the data it analyses....Right....like Google searches or like Twitter before Musk....

And that's the scary part of where I see them going with this:

"How dare you oppose any of the (far left) dictats of the all knowing AI"

.....irrespective of actual true hard facts and / or known recorded history...

AI will be used for oppression

Very salient points there Max,

AI has to get it's information from some programmer somewhere,
and they get their information from where, right?

There is also the matter of many nations demanding
censorship. So an AI in China or Turkey for instance
will certainly be providing different answers, guidance,
etc based on the dictators in charge.

In fact, what about a question like...such as....
"Did the FBI lie about President Donald Trump
colluding with Russia"?

It is all going to depend on the politics, imo

Borg, Anna (SWE), President and CEO, Vattenfall AB

Yes. Very fitting. No discussion about AI would be complete without the Borg in attendance.

I just asked ChatGPT.

This is what I got back:

"There were investigations conducted by the FBI and other agencies regarding allegations of collusion between President Donald Trump's campaign and Russia during the 2016 election. The investigations, including the Mueller report, did not establish conclusive evidence of collusion. However, it is important to note that allegations, investigations, and their conclusions can be subject to interpretation and debate. It is not accurate or fair to make a blanket statement accusing the entire FBI of lying about President Trump colluding with Russia."

AI programmed to LIE

Just wow!

AI says:

"not accurate or fair" that is.... unreal.

Was it accurate or fair what the media did for 6 years,
publishing lies and accusations based on false information
from the FBI, I wonder? Was it accurate or fair to have
the FBI leaking to the press all of the lies and accusations?

If humanity depends on AI for fairness or accuracy, guess
we are up a creek eh?

Thanks for sharing that!

Sam Altman here in a video Q&A saying how important
that the "Government" is in control of AI.

I have never heard anything more concerning!

twitter.com...

To some degree, using it to speed up programming, fine.

But he admits that it is accelerating and could get out
of control rather quickly.

Please someone tell me how "The Government"...who doesn't
seem to excel in much, certainly not fairness or accuracy...
should be in charge of AI?

What could possibly go wrong you ask?

This.

Russia is consulting with its allies about challenging the United States’s nominee to head the World Bank, Moscow’s top representative at the bank has said, a move that could complicate what was expected to be a smooth succession process.

Russia remains a voting member of the World Bank, although the bank halted all programs in Russia and Belarus last March, citing what it called “hostilities against the people of Ukraine” following Russia’s invasion.

A challenge from Russia or an allied country is unlikely to change the outcome, given the shareholding structure, but it could expose simmering tensions between the US and Western nations and China — the bank’s third largest shareholder — over the World Bank and other global financial institutions.

The outcome will be interesting for sure.
Where the World Bank is concerned, that is a lot
of power concentrated into one entity.

The world is playing a dangerous game with Russia,
something tells me that the desired outcome of
Ukraine 'winning' isn't going to happen.

Like I said, it is clear to me that AI will be used for oppression of anyone that dares to disbelieve it's statements, curated in the backrooms by globalists and far-leftists.

And it seems by the look of things we know what side
that bias is going to land. Against conservative values,
and as the laws protecting free speech fade away
people will be policed for just saying things.

Then thinking things, poor Winston!

What if the Matrix is trying to let us out and we keep jumping away, like geckos at an open window? We want to wait and hide to be sure the window's open but the window can't stay open indefinitely.

Economy, Elizabeth (USA), Senior Advisor for China, Department of Commerce

Discussing China is high on the agenda, but no economic nor AI Chinese representatives were invited, so just how far can the discussion go? I know it's European and N.A. normally, but why put China on the agenda without anyone there with insight. Who knows, maybe Elizabeth Economy knows the score.
